    • Exits rehab game after HBP
Crawford (oblique) was removed from his rehab game at Triple-A Tacoma after getting hit in the hand by a pitch.

Advice: Crawford was visibly in pain after taking a 90-mph fastball off his right hand/wrist and was immediately taken out of the game by a trainer. He has been working his way back from a right oblique strain he suffered in late April, and Wednesday was expected to be his final appearance in the minors before rejoining the Mariners for their weekend series in Baltimore. However, the 29-year-old shortstop's return may be postponed if the damage to his hand proves to be significant. Rotowire.com 17 minutes ago

    • J.P. Crawford exits rehab game after hit by pitch
J.P. Crawford was pulled from his final rehab game at Triple-A Tacoma after being hit by a pitch on his right hand.

Advice: Ouch. That’s certainly not what you want to see, especially when Crawford was set to rejoin the Mariners over the weekend. Presumably he’ll head for X-rays to see if there’s any structural damage. Stay tuned. Rotoworld 23 minutes ago

    • Tylor Megill (shoulder) to return Sunday or Monday
Mets’ manager Carlos Mendoza told reporters on Wednesday that Tylor Megill (shoulder) will return from the injured list to start on Sunday or Monday.

Advice: The 28-year-old right-hander looked sharp in his final rehab start at Triple-A Syracuse, punching out seven batters across four innings of shutout baseball, though he only threw 62 pitches in that start. Expect him to be limited — from a pitch count perspective — the first time that he takes the hill with the Mets. Rotoworld 28 minutes ago

    • Breaks into win column
Gomber (1-2) earned the win against San Diego on Wednesday, pitching six scoreless innings during which he allowed two hits and walked two batters while striking out five.

Advice: The only two hits Gomber allowed were singles that the Padres couldn't cash in. The southpaw completed six innings for the fourth straight game and notched his third consecutive quality start. Wednesday's victory was his first of the campaign, but it was overdue based on how he's been pitching of late. Over his past three outings, Gomber has allowed just one earned run across 18.2 frames despite a mediocre 13:6 K:BB. Rotowire.com 29 minutes ago

    • Giants believe Keaton Winn’s injury is mild
Giants’ manager Bob Melvin told reporters on Wednesday that Keaton Winn’s forearm tightness is “pretty mild”.

Advice: At least that’s the initial diagnosis after Winn left Tuesday’s start with the issue. It still sounds like he’s going to miss at least one start — and could still wind up on the injured list — but the Giants’ aren’t expecting him to miss a significant amount of time. Mason Black is an option to start in his place on Friday. Rotoworld 30 minutes ago

    • Seiya Suzuki homers, doubles in win over Braves
Seiya Suzuki went 2-for-5 with a home run, double, and two runs scored in a win over the Braves on Wednesday.

Advice: The home run was Suzuki’s first since coming off the IL with an oblique strain. The injury came at an inopportune time with Suzuki slashing .305/.368/.525 with a 151 wRC+ before getting hurt. Wednesday is a great sign that he’s fully healthy and ready to start another hot streak. Rotoworld 43 minutes ago

    • Mike Tauchmann hits solo-shot in win over Braves
Mike Tauchmann went 2-for-5 with a home run against the Braves on Wednesday.

Advice: Wednesday marked the third straight game Tauchmann has led-off for the Cubs against a right-handed pitcher and he’s hit either first or second in every game against righties since April 23rd. It seems like the Cubs trust him at the top of their order while he stays hot. Rotoworld 46 minutes ago

    • Triples, steals base in win
Crow-Armstrong went 2-for-4 with a triple, a run scored and two RBI in Wednesday's 7-1 win over Atlanta. He also stole a base.

Advice: Crow-Armstrong continues to show off his speed, as he recorded his first triple and fourth stolen base across 21 games this season. The 22-year-old is in a crowded outfield with the likes of Ian Happ, Cody Bellinger and Seiya Suzuki all healthy and commanding regular playing time. However, Crow-Armstrong has plenty of talent, and his future outlook is bright even if he mostly serves as a reserve in 2024. Rotowire.com 48 minutes ago
    • Carlos Carrasco gives up two runs in loss
Carlos Carrasco allowed two runs with three strikeouts over five innings in a loss against the Rangers on Wednesday.

Advice: Carrasco had work through four scoreless frames, escaping a bases-loaded jam in the fourth with a double-play ground ball. Marcus Semien would get to him in the fifth, going deep for a two-run homer. Carrasco would end his day after five frames, striking out three. The 37-year-old right-hander will take a 5.16 ERA, 1.46 WHIP, and a 34/18 K/BB ratio across 45 1/3 innings into a matchup against the Mets in Cleveland on Tuesday. Rotoworld 54 minutes ago
