      Manager Bruce Bochy said Tuesday that Carter (back) will be out for at least a month, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.

      Advice: Carter was placed on the 10-day IL on May 28 with lower back tightness. However, as Bochy notes, the injury is worse than initially thought and is being considered a "stress reaction". It seems as though Carter will have to start from square one and will probably require a handful of rehab outings before being able to return.       Advice: The home run was Bregman’s ninth of the season. With the Astros trailing by one in the eighth inning, he homered off JoJo Romero to tie the game. Bregman is still hitting just .229 on the season, but his .234 BABIP is significantly lower than his career .280 BABIP.       Friedl went 1-for-5 with a home run and three RBI in Sunday's 5-2 win over the Cubs.

      Advice: Friedl provided all the Reds would need in the second inning when he bopped a two-out, three-run home run to give Cincinnati a 4-0 lead. It was the first home run of the season for Friedl, who is coming back from a second stint on the injured list and has played just 10 games this season.       Rutschman went 3-for-5 with one RBI in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Rays.

      Advice: Rutschman had a brief cold spell a couple of weeks ago, but he's bounced back well. He's hit safely in six straight games, going 9-for-25 (.360) in that span. The catcher is slashing .304/.342/.473 with 10 home runs, 38 RBI, 30 runs scored and one stolen base over 54 contests this season.       Advice: Marte got the scoring going in the top of the first with a leadoff homer against Jose Quintana. He saved his best for last though, launching a decisive two-run shot in the ninth to propel Arizona to a 5-4 victory. The multi-HR performance was Marte's first of the season and the seventh of his career.       Duran tossed a clean ninth, striking out one to pick up his 10th save of the season Sunday against the Astros.

      Advice: After allowing a total of six baserunners and three unearned runs over his last three appearances totaling 2.1 innings, Duran ran into no such trouble Sunday, retiring the Astros in order to collect his 10th save in as many attempts. Though he's yet to blow a save since making his season debut April 30, Duran has not been as dominant with an 8.4 K/9 compared with rates of 11.8 and 12.1 over his first two big-league seasons.
