      Javier (neck) allowed three runs on three hits and two walks while striking out three across 3.1 innings in a rehab outing with Double-A Corpus Christi on Saturday, MLB.com reports.

      Advice: The results weren't overly impressive, but it was otherwise a successful outing for Javier, as he was slated to throw roughly 65 pitches in the outing.       Duran gave up a hit and struck out two in a scoreless eighth inning Saturday to record his first hold of the season in a 3-1 win over the Red Sox.

      Advice: The right-hander got the call to face the heart of Boston's order in the eighth rather than being held back for the save chance, and he got the job done without issue. Cole Sands then worked the ninth inning for the save. Duran had only one hold last season along with his 27 saves, and Twins manager Rocco Baldelli typically favors set roles in his bullpen over playing matchups in high-leverage spots, so there's no reason yet to assume this is a sign Duran will see less ninth-inning work than expected.       Advice: Boston pushed across a run in the top of the first inning, but Lopez slammed the door shut after that, generating 19 swinging strikes among his 99 pitches as he tied his season high in Ks. The quality start was the third of the season for the right-hander, and Lopez will take a 4.30 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 45:8 K:BB through 37.2 innings into his next outing, which lines up to come at home next week against the Mariners.       Cristian Javier (neck) made his first minor league rehab start at Double-A Corpus Christi on Saturday, giving up three runs on three hits over 3 1/3 innings of work.

      Advice: The 27-year-old right-hander walked a pair while striking out three batters in the contest. He threw 68 pitches in the game, 39 of those for strikes. There had been speculation that he would require just one rehab start before returning to the Astros’ rotation next week, we’ll see if that holds after how Saturday’s outing went.       Pablo López delivered a dominant performance in Saturday afternoon’s victory over the Red Sox, piling up eight strikeouts over six innings of one-run baseball.

      Advice: The 28-year-old right-hander scattered just five hits and one walk on the afternoon. The lone tally against him came as Tyler O’Neill smacked a two-out double in the opening inning and Wilyer Abreu followed with a run-scoring single. Aside from that, he was in complete control. López got 19 swings and misses on 99 pitches on the afternoon — 11 of those on his fastball — while posting a strong CSW of 31 percent.       Advice: Olson was sharp against a strong New York lineup, but the Tigers couldn't provide enough run support in the eventual 2-1 loss. Olson has been dialed in over his last four starts, compiling a 1.54 ERA and striking out 25 batters across 23.1 innings, but he has an 0-3 record to show for it. The strong run has at least lowered his season ERA to a tidy 2.70. The righty will look to keep pitching well and hopefully get a bit more run support in his next appearance, which is tentatively set for Wednesday against the Guardians.       Reese Olson was terrific again in a tough-luck no-decision against the Yankees on Friday night, scattering two hits and two walks over five scoreless innings.

      Advice: The right-hander punched out five batters on the night. While he was able to keep the Yankees’ offense completely at bay, the Tigers were only able to generate one run of support for him, which cost him his victory as Jason Foley imploded in the ninth inning. Olson generated seven whiffs on 88 pitches on the night — four of those on his slider — while registering a CSW of 31 percent. The 24-year-old hurler somehow sits at 0-4 on the season despite a stellar 2.70 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and a 31/13 K/BB ratio over 33 1/3 innings through his first six starts.
