    • Nabs win Tuesday
Phillips (1-0) allowed a run on one hit and struck out one over one inning but earned the win Tuesday over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Phillips gave up a tie-breaking solo home run to Joc Pederson in the top of the ninth inning, but the Dodgers replied with two runs of their own in the bottom of the frame. The homer was just the second Phillips has allowed all year, though this was the second outing in a row he's been scored on. The right-hander is at a 2.10 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 27:8 K:BB with 13 saves and a hold over 25.2 innings this season. Rotowire.com 7 minutes ago
    • Bobby Witt Jr. goes deep in loss to Rays
Bobby Witt Jr. crushed his 13th home run of the season on Tuesday night, but it wasn’t enough to lead the Royals to victory over the Rays.

Advice: The 24-year-old superstar got the Royals on the board with his 399-foot (108.0 mph EV) solo shot off of Kevin Kelly in the sixth inning. That would be his lone hit in four at-bats on the night. Witt has been a five-category monster for fantasy purposes this season, slashing .311/.362/.539 with 13 homers, 55 RBI, 66 runs scored and 22 stolen bases through his first 87 games. • Homer, steal in win
Rooker went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, a walk and a stolen base in Tuesday's 7-5 win over the Angels.

Advice: Rooker has hit safely in six of his last seven games, going 8-for-26 (.308) with three homers in that span. He offers more power than speed -- with Tuesday's performance, he has 16 long balls and three steals across 72 contests this year. The 29-year-old has added a .261/.338/.515 slash line with 48 RBI, 30 runs scored, 15 doubles and two triples as the Athletics' top designated hitter. Rotowire.com 48 minutes ago
    • Brent Rooker has jack and a bag in win over Angels
Brent Rooker socked a dinger and stole a base on Tuesday evening as the Athletics triumphed over the visiting Angels.

Advice: The 29-year-old slugger opened the scoring in the ballgame with his 405-foot (108.7 mph EV) solo shot off of Angels’ starter Jose Soriano in the fourth inning. Rooker also drew a walk in the fifth inning and swiped second base, but he was left stranded there. He finished the night 1-for-3 and is now hitting a respectable .261/.338/.515 to go along with 16 long balls, 48 RBI and three stolen bases on the season. Rotoworld Today, 10:07 pm
    • Duran earns 13th save in win over Tigers
Jhoan Duran pitched a perfect ninth inning to earn the save on Tuesday against the Tigers.

Advice: Duran now has 13 saves on the season, as he lowered his WHIP in the year to 0.98 thanks to a solid frame against the Tigers, in which he struck out one batter. Duran needed just 13 pitches to get through the inning and has converted four of his last five save opportunities. Rotoworld Today, 8:03 pm
    • Elly De La Cruz homers in win over Yankees
Elly De La Cruz went 2-for-5 with a home run and two RBIs in a win over the Yankees on Tuesday.

Advice: The home run was a 425-foot shot for his 15th home run of the season. Elly also struck out twice and is hitting just .226 over his last 40 games while posting a strikeout rate of over 31 percent; however, his athleticism and raw power are so elite that he continues to produce fantasy goodness. If he ever made the plate discipline gains to make more consistent contact, he could be the best player in fantasy baseball. Rotoworld Today, 7:31 pm
    • Evan Carter (back) progressing towards return
Evan Carter (back) is expected to progress to facing live pitching again this week.

Advice: Carter resumes swinging a bat earlier this week and should be ready to face some actual live pitching in the coming days. The 21-year-old former top prospect landed on the injured list back in early June with a stress reaction in his back and was expected to miss at least one month. He’s going to need a minor league rehab assignment to get back up to speed, but it sounds like he could be back before the end of July, barring any setbacks. Rotoworld Today, 5:38 pm

    • Bryan Woo (hamstring) resumes throwing
Bryan Woo (hamstring) threw a 20-pitch bullpen session over the weekend.

Advice: Mariners manager Scott Servais told reporters Woo will throw a more extended side session this week. The 24-year-old righty hit the injured list last week with a right hamstring strain, but the fact that he’s already throwing is a sign that he’s not going to require a lengthy absence. It’s possible he’ll make it back prior to the All-Star break, but the most likely outcome is that he’ll be ready to go shortly afterwards. Rotoworld Today, 5:21 pm

    • Nightengale: Rival execs say Alonso is staying put
According to USA Today’s Bob Nightengale, rival team execs believe it’s more likely that Pete Alonso is not traded at the deadline.

Advice: Nightengale mentioned that “rival teams who have expressed interest” in Alonso are “convinced” he will “definitely stay put as long as the Mets are within five games of the wild-card race.” As of now, the Mets are just two games back and are 12-4 over their last 16 games. If the Mets do keep Alonso beyond the trade deadline, they will need to then decide how badly they want to extend him, but it would take one of the biggest power bats off the trade block this season.
