    • Goes deep again Friday
Ohtani went 2-for-2 with a two-run home run and two walks in Friday's 3-2 extra-inning loss to the Angels.

Advice: The Dodgers only had seven total baserunners in the contest, and the hitters behind Ohtani in the order went a combined 0-for-16. He has logged multiple hits in five of his last six games, and he's swatted five homers with 11 RBI in that span. The superstar is up to a .322/.398/.628 slash line with 22 long balls, 55 RBI, 60 runs scored and 16 stolen bases on 18 attempts through 75 games this year. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:03 pm

    • Andrew Abbott strikes out season-high 10 in win
Andrew Abbott fanned 10 while allowing two runs in 5 2/3 innings Friday in a win over the Red Sox.

Advice: The 10 strikeouts topped his previous season high by two. Abbott yielded homers to Connor Wong and Jarren Duran, but no further damage was done. There still isn’t much at all to like about Abbott’s peripherals, but he has reduced his walk rate, and this is the right year to be a big flyball pitcher. He’s currently 6-6 with a 3.40 ERA, even though he’s given up 15 homers in 84 2/3 innings. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:41 pm

    • Jake Cronenworth has five-hit day in win over MIL
Jake Cronenworth went 5-for-5 with a homer, four runs scored and a stolen base in a 9-5 win over the Brewers on Friday.

Advice: Cronenworth and Manny Machado combined for nine hits on Friday, which is a large number. The infielder hit his 12th homer of the season in the sixth off Colin Rea. The five knocks for Cronenworth give him seven in the last two games, and he’s seen his average rise from .251 to .266. The 30-year-old has been streaky for the majority of his career, and he appears to be on the right side of that right now. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:00 pm

    • Ohtani gets Tungsten O’Doyle’d against former team
Shohei Ohtani homered and reached four times in a 3-2 loss to the Angels on Friday in 10 innings.

Advice: We’re used to seeing those type of efforts from Ohtani being wasted, but usually it was for the Angels, not against them. The 29-year-old absolutely destroyed a solo blast off Matt Moore in the fifth for his 22nd homer of the year and 55th RBI of the season. The only blemish was a caught stealing for Ohtani, but that was just the second of the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:56 pm

    • Hobbled Jurickson Profar pulled for pinch-runner
Jurickson Profar was lifted for a pinch-runner in the seventh inning Friday against the Brewers.

Advice: This probably wasn’t a move the Padres would have made unless Profar’s knee was acting up again. José Azocar ran for him in the game against the Brewers. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:36 pm

    • May have aggravated knee issue
Profar (knee) was removed for a pinch runner in the seventh inning of Friday's game against the Brewers, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Profar dealt with a knee injury earlier in June, and he didn't appear to be running at full strength to begin Friday's game. As a result, the Padres replaced him after a one-out double with the score tied 5-5 in the seventh. Profar could end up getting additional time off this weekend. • Allows three homers in loss
Walker (3-3) took the loss to the Diamondbacks on Friday, allowing four runs on five hits and three walks with three strikeouts over four innings.

Advice: Walker allowed three home runs, including back-to-back homers by Gabriel Moreno and Joc Pederson in the third inning. Walker generated only four swings on 77 pitches, including just one whiff with his splitter. The right-hander has failed to record a win or quality start since May 11 and owns a 5.60 ERA, 1.49 WHIP and 43:21 K:BB over 53 innings. He lines up to face the Tigers next week. • Homers, reaches three times in win
Pederson went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in a 5-4 win over the Phillies on Friday.

Advice: Pederson hit a solo home run in the third inning, singled in the fifth and walked in the seventh. Over his last 10 games, the veteran outfielder has gone 12-for-31 with three homers, 13 RBI and nine runs scored. Pederson only has eight at-bats against left-handed pitchers this season, but he is crushing righties to the tune of a .306/.398/.529 slash line with nine home runs, 33 RBI and 28 runs scored in 202 plate appearances. • Joc Pederson homers, on-base three times Friday
Joc Pederson went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and walk on Friday against the Phillies.

Advice: Pederson, Lourdes Gurriel, and Gabriel Moreno all jumped on Taijuan Walker for third inning home runs in this one. Pederson has been a revelation for managers in daily leagues this season with a .927 OPS against right-handers as a mainstay in the heart of Arizona’s lineup. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:19 pm
