      Advice: Kittredge allowed a run in each of the 11th and 12th innings, but the Cardinals were able to establish a two-run lead in the 12th. Through 10 innings in June, Kittredge has allowed six runs (four earned) with an 8:3 K:BB.       Busch went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk against the Giants in Monday's loss.

      Advice: Busch gave Chicago its first lead with a two-run blast to center field in the sixth inning. It was his first long ball over his past 17 contests and just his second across his past 32 games. Busch began the campaign with six homers through 16 contests, so the fact that he's still yet to reach double digits in that category emphasizes the extent to which he's slowed down.       Advice: Happ's seventh-inning, three-run homer snapped a 3-3 tie and appeared to give the Cubs a comfortable advantage, but the Giants scored three runs in the ninth to pull out the win. Nonetheless, Happ continued to break out of his recent slump -- over his past three contests, he's gone 6-for-9 with two homers, six RBI and three walks.       Advice: Bailey brought San Francisco to within two runs with his eighth-inning solo blast. It was just his second extra-base hit over his past 16 contests, a span in which he's batted .264 (14-for-53). Bailey has a modest five long balls on the campaign, but he's been solid offensively with a .286/.360/.435 slash line, 23 RBI, 18 runs, two steals, an 11.5 percent walk rate and a 19.0 percent strikeout rate over 179 plate appearances.       Advice: Estrada was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded in the top of the seventh inning to give San Francisco its first lead, though Chicago quickly re-took the lead in the bottom of the frame. The Giants remained behind until the ninth, when Estrada blasted a three-run homer that proved to be the game-winning hit. The long ball snapped a 20-game homerless stretch for the infielder.       Neris (6-2) took the loss and blew a save against the Giants on Monday, allowing three runs (two earned) on one hit and one walk while striking out one batter over one inning.

      Advice: Neris entered in the top of the ninth frame with Chicago leading by two runs. He got one out before Jorge Soler reached base on catcher's interference. Mike Yastrzemski followed with a walk before Thairo Estrada gave San Francisco the lead with a three-run homer. Though Neris retired the following two batters, the damage had been done, and the Cubs weren't able to mount a comeback in the bottom of the frame. The blown save was the fourth of the season for Neris and his third over his past seven chances.     • James Paxton goes seven strong to win at Coors
      James Paxton limited the Rockies to one run and two hits in seven innings to win at Coors Field on Monday.

      Advice: It’s difficult to predict Paxton’s performances this season. He looked done 10 days ago after giving up seven runs and getting pulled in the second versus the Pirates, but he’s since bounced back by allowing two runs and four hits in 13 innings in his last two starts. The Yoshinobu Yamamoto injury took the idea of stashing Paxton on the IL off the board for the Dodgers.     • Cal Quantrill surrenders three runs in loss
      Cal Quantrill lost to the Dodgers after allowing three runs in five innings on Monday.

      Advice: This could and probably should have been worse, given that Quantrill allowed seven hits and walked three, but it goes as a pretty routine loss. Quantrill dropped to 6-5 with a 3.43 ERA. The sooner the Rockies trade him, the better the return will be. Rotoworld Today, 9:08 pm
       
    • Miguel Rojas goes 3-for-5 in Dodgers’ victory
      Miguel Rojas went 3-for-5 with a double and two runs scored against the Rockies on Monday.

      Advice: Sure, Jazz Chisholm Jr. doesn’t seem to like him, but how badly did the Marlins botch things by trading Rojas for a prospect they didn’t even want a year and a half ago? Rojas is batting .292/.339/.460 in 121 plate appearances this season, and he’ll serve as the Dodgers’ primary shortstop while Mookie Betts is out.
