    • Mauled by Minnesota
Corbin (1-5) took the loss Tuesday as the Nationals were routed 10-0 by the Twins, surrendering eight runs on nine hits -- including three home runs -- and three walks over six innings. He struck out three.

Advice: Minnesota hung two runs on the veteran southpaw in four separate innings, and Corbin was taken deep twice by Byron Buxton and once by Jose Miranda while also serving up extra-base hits to Carlos Santana and Carlos Correa. It's the first time since March 30 that Corbin has been tagged for multiple homers, but he wasn't having much success when keeping the ball in the park, either. He'll carry a 6.29 ERA, 1.77 WHIP and 32:21 K:BB through 54.1 innings into his next outing, which is scheduled to come early next week in Atlanta. Rotowire.com 7 minutes ago
    • Blanks Nats for third win
Ryan (3-3) picked up the win Tuesday, allowing three hits and two walks over seven scoreless innings in a 10-0 rout of the Nationals. He struck out six.

Advice: The right-hander didn't let a baserunner get past second base as he delivered his seventh quality start of the season in 10 trips to the mound. Tuesday's outing was also the first time in 2024 that Ryan had issued multiple free passes. He'll take a 3.15 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and 64:9 K:BB through 60 innings into his next start, which lines up to come at home early next week against the Royals. Rotowire.com 16 minutes ago

    • Early exit in no-decision
Rogers came away with a no-decision in Tuesday's 7-5 loss to the Brewers, giving up four runs on six hits and four walks over 3.2 innings. He struck out four.

Advice: The lefty threw only 53 of 90 pitches for strikes before leaving the mound, and his final line could have been a lot worse -- Owen Miller and Christian Yelich were thrown out at home in consecutive innings, and Milwaukee stranded runners in scoring position in every frame Rogers pitched. It's the third time in four May starts he's failed to complete four innings, and he's saddled with a 10.05 ERA, 2.58 WHIP and 14:11 K:BB through 14.1 innings on the month. Rogers will look to turn things around in his next outing, which is scheduled to come early next week in San Diego. Rotowire.com 25 minutes ago
    • Resuming rehab assignment
Chargois (neck) has been sent to Triple-A Jacksonville to resume his rehab assignment.

Advice: Chargois made three rehab appearances for Jacksonville last month before suffering a setback with his neck injury. He's cleared the necessary hurdles to return to game action and will be eligible for activation next week, although the reliever could need more time than that. Rotowire.com 55 minutes ago

    • Side session on tap
Manager A.J. Hinch said that Maeda (illness) will throw a bullpen session Wednesday or Thursday before the Tigers determine the right-hander's next steps, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Placed on the 15-day injured list May 11 while he battled a viral illness, Maeda appears to be close to a return after he was able to complete a three-inning rehab start with Triple-A Toledo this past Sunday. The Tigers have already decided on their starting pitchers through Friday, but if Maeda comes out of his side session no worse for the wear, he could be an option to take the hill Saturday versus the Blue Jays if Detroit wants to give Reese Olson (hip) some extra time off to recover from an injury. If the Tigers are confident in Olson's health heading into the weekend, however, Maeda could be sent out to Toledo for a second rehab start to build up his pitch count. • Impressive in non-save situation
Kopech struck out the side without allowing a baserunner Tuesday against the Blue Jays.

Advice: Kopech entered the game in the ninth inning and was tasked with protecting a five-run lead. He needed only 15 pitches to end the game, and he racked up seven called strikes without generating a whiff. After a shaky start to the season, Kopech now has six consecutive scoreless appearances, maintaining an 8:5 K:BB across 6.1 frames in that span. Rotowire.com 55 minutes ago

    • Starting rehab assignment
Hoeing (hamstring) has been sent to Triple-A Jacksonville to begin a rehab assignment.

Advice: Hoeing has been out since early May with a strained left hamstring but is ready to test things out in a game environment. Since he hasn't missed much time, his rehab assignment figures to be brief. Rotowire.com 58 minutes ago

    • Continuing rehab at Single-A
Drohan (shoulder) has been transferred to Single-A Winston-Salem to continue his rehab assignment.

Advice: Working his way back from left shoulder nerve decompression surgery, Drohan allowed three runs with a 9:2 K:BB over 3.2 innings in three appearances with the Arizona Complex League White Sox. The Rule 5 pick will likely use all of his 30 allotted rehab days before the White Sox add him to the roster. Drohan will need to remain on Chicago's roster all season or be offered back to the Red Sox. Rotowire.com Today, 6:24 am

    • Picks up win No. 2
Pfaadt (2-3) got the win over the Dodgers on Tuesday, allowing three runs (two earned) on four hits and a walk while striking out seven over six innings.

Advice: Pfaadt picked up a win for the first time since his season-opening start against the Rockies on March 31. His first run allowed was unearned off a throwing error by Gabriel Moreno and then the Dodgers finally got to him in the sixth for a pair. Pfaadt only gave up one barreled ball on the evening and now has five straight quality starts and seven or more strikeouts three times. The 25-year-old now owns a 4.05 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 58:11 K:BB in 60 innings and lines up to face the Rangers on the road next week. Rotowire.com Today, 6:16 am
