    • Earns 12th save
Estevez struck out two in a perfect ninth inning to earn the save in a 4-3 win over the Giants on Saturday.

Advice: Called upon in the ninth inning for the second night in a row, Estevez needed just 12 pitches to secure his 12th save of the season. Estevez has not allowed a baserunner in five June appearances and has now converted six consecutive save opportunities dating back to May 20. On the season, Estevez is 12-for-15 in save chances with a 3.68 ERA, 0.91 WHIP and 22:3 K:BB in 22 innings. Rotowire.com 37 minutes ago
    • Receives outright assignment
Meeker cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Nashville on Saturday, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Advice: The Brewers designated Meeker for assignment Tuesday, but he'll stick in the organization after clearing waivers. In 21.2 innings with Nashville, Meeker owns a 3.32 ERA and a 1.27 WHIP. Rotowire.com 37 minutes ago

    • Charlie Morton has vintage performance in win
Charlie Morton allowed one run on three hits in six innings in a win over the Rays on Saturday.

Advice: Morton looked like his old self, striking out eight and walking two. He induced 22 whiffs on 49 swings for a ridiculous 45 percent whiff rate and 35 percent CSW. It was perhaps the 40-year-old’s best start of the season, and he’ll look to keep it going next week in a tough showdown against the Yankees. Rotoworld 38 minutes ago

    • Ryan Pepiot undone by HRs against Atlanta
Ryan Pepiot allowed five runs on six hits in 4 2/3 innings against the Braves on Saturday.

Advice: Pepiot allowed seven hard-hit baseballs on the day and three home runs which accounted for seven runs. The right-hander did produce a 26 percent whiff rate and 26 percent CSW which helped him strike out four. However, he also walked three in what was an uneven effort overall. His first season in Tampa has not gone as smoothly as hoped. While he has flashed upside, he also has a 4.57 ERA but he has a good chance to turn that around next week against the Pirates. • Completes seven innings in loss
Rogers (1-8) took the loss to the Nationals on Saturday, allowing two runs on six hits and no walks with three strikeouts over seven innings.

Advice: Rogers allowed runs on a sacrifice fly by Joey Meneses in the first inning and a solo homer run by Lane Thomas in the third. Rogers logged his best outing of the season but was simply outdueled by rookie DJ Herz, who posted six scoreless innings with 13 strikeouts. Rogers had walked four batters in back-to-back contests, so his command Saturday was certainly a positive. He now owns a 5.09 ERA, 1.62 WHIP and 55:31 K:BB on the season and tentatively lines up to face the Mariners next week. Rotowire.com Today, 6:24 pm

    • José Quintana spins gem against Padres
José Quintana allowed one run on two hits in six innings in a win over the Padres on Saturday.

Advice: Both of Quintana’s hits allowed were for extra bases, but he was able to avoid damage apart from the solo home run to Jackson Merrill. The left-hander induced eight whiffs on 31 swings for a 26 percent whiff rate and 30 percent CSW. The Padres only had an average exit velocity on contact of 85 mph, as Quintana kept them off the barrel all day. He now has a 4.98 ERA and is not a recommended start next week against the Cubs. • Nabs win as bulk reliever
Francis (3-2) picked up the win Saturday, allowing four hits over four scoreless relief innings in a 5-0 victory over the Guardians. He struck out two without walking a batter.

Advice: The right-hander was the fourth Toronto pitcher into the game but he handled the bulk relief role with aplomb, firing 44 of 68 pitches for strikes. Francis has tossed eight scoreless innings over his last two appearances, but with Yariel Rodriguez (back) close to coming off the IL, he's unlikely to join the rotation any time soon. Since a tough beginning to the season as a starter, Francis has posted a 3.06 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 12:4 K:BB through 17.2 innings over his last six outings sandwiched around an IL stint of his own due to forearm tendinitis. • Carlos Estévez secures 12th save versus Giants
Carlos Estévez tossed a clean ninth inning with one strikeout to earn the save against the Giants on Saturday.

Advice: Estévez was summoned in the ninth inning to close out the game with a one-run led over the Giants. He shut them down, retiring the side on 12 pitches and ending the game with a called third strike on Heliot Ramos. The 31-year-old right-hander is up to 12 saves with a 3.68 ERA, 0.91 WHIP, and a 22/3 K/BB ratio across 22 innings. Rotoworld Today, 3:52 pm
    • Patrick Sandoval gives up three runs in no-decision
Patrick Sandoval allowed three runs with five strikeouts over five innings in a no-decision against the Giants on Saturday.

Advice: Sandoval served up a two-run homer to Heliot Ramos in the first inning. He settled in to toss three scoreless frames before Ramos got to him in the fifth, bringing a run home to score on a double. Sandoval would be done after five innings at 98 pitches, striking out five. The 27-year-old left-hander will take a 5.24 ERA, 1.50 WHIP, and an 80/33 K/BB ratio across 77 1/3 innings into a road start against the Dodgers on Friday. Rotoworld Today, 3:51 pm
