    McArthur (1-2) took the loss and blew the save Tuesday against Milwaukee, allowing three runs on three hits and a walk over one inning. He didn't log a strikeout.

    Advice: For a second straight appearance, McArthur took the mound in the ninth with the Royals leading and surrendered a game-altering home run. This time, Willy Adames put the Brewers up 6-5 with a three-run home run that plated William Contreras and Gary Sanchez with two outs. Despite blowing back-to-back saves, fantasy managers shouldn't panic about McArthur considering he hadn't allowed a run in nine consecutive appearances prior to the stretch.   • Undergoes Tommy John surgery
    Stephenson (elbow) had Tommy John surgery May 1, Trent Rush of Angels Radio AM 830 reports.

    Advice: Stephenson was one of the Angels' biggest signings in the offseason, but he won't play a game for the team in the first season of his three-year contract. It's quite possible that he won't be ready to pitch at the start of the 2025 campaign, but the veteran reliever should join the Angels' bullpen sometime next spring or summer.     Megill picked up the save during Tuesday's 6-5 win over the Royals, striking out one batter over a perfect ninth inning.

    Advice: Megill had a save opportunity open up after Willy Adames gave the Brewers a one-run lead in the top of the ninth on a three-run home run and converted for his third save of the season. In each of his three save chances this season, Megill has turned in a perfect inning, and he's allowed just one run and two hits in 6.2 innings since being activated from the injured list on April 19.   • Suffers knee injury
    Saucedo left Tuesday's game against the Twins due to a knee injury, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

    Advice: While running to cover first base on a ground ball during the eighth inning, Saucedo seemed to jam his right leg on the bag before crumbling to the ground in pain and grabbing his knee. The Mariners have yet to reveal the nature of the injury, but manager Scott Servais said the left-hander will be sidelined for "a while."     Montas (2-3) took the loss Tuesday against the Diamondbacks, allowing two runs (one earned) on four hits and one walk over six innings. He struck out seven.

    Advice: Montas wound up spending the minimum 15 days on the IL after he was struck by a line drive in his last start, resulting in a bruised forearm. The 31-year-old right-hander was sharp in his return, though he'd ultimately wind up with the loss as the Reds' offense couldn't break through against Zac Gallen. Montas now sports a 3.55 ERA with a 1.30 WHIP and 21:11 K:BB across his first six starts (25.1 innings) with Cincinnati.     Dakota Hudson surrendered four runs in 3 2/3 innings Tuesday in a loss to the Giants.

    Adam Ottavino allowed one earned run and earned the save for the Mets on Tuesday night to collect his first save of the season with Edwin Díaz unavailable.

    Advice: Ottavino took over closer duties for the Mets Tuesday after Díaz worked back-to-back days Sunday and Monday. Things got dicey after a Lars Nootbaar homer and some traffic on the bases, but Ottavino struck out Paul Goldschmidt and Alec Burleson to end the game.     Tayler Saucedo left Tuesday’s game in the eighth inning with a right knee injury.

    Neris (2-0) worked around a hit and a walk to pitch a scoreless ninth inning and earn the win Tuesday against the Padres.

    Advice: Neris pitched a clean top of the ninth inning, then scooped up a win when Michael Busch homered in bottom half of the frame to break a 2-2 tie. On a less positive note, the veteran allowed multiple baserunners for the second straight game, which would be a concerning trend if it continues.
