    • Mike Yastrzemski hits three-run homer off bench
Mike Yastrzemski delivered a three-run homer as a pinch-hitter Tuesday versus the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Here’s the one player Bob Melvin wasn’t mad at after Tuesday’s loss. The homer was Yastrzemski’s sixth of the year. He might be challenged for playing time against righties with Michael Conforto back, but the Giants will likely stick with him unless both Luis Matos and Heliot Ramos can give them good reason not to. Yastrzemski didn’t start tonight because Arizona was throwing a lefty. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:51 pm
    • Another strong outing
Sanchez allowed one run on four hits and a walk over six innings in a no-decision against the Brewers on Tuesday. He struck out three.

Advice: Sanchez has now held opponents to two runs or fewer in five of his past six outings and one or fewer in seven of his last 10. The left-hander's ERA is down to 2.71 on the year with a 1.34 WHIP and 59:21 K:BB across 12 starts (66.1 innings). Sanchez is currently lined up for a road matchup with the Red Sox next week in his next outing. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:42 pm
    • Drives in pair
Lee went 1-for-4 with a double, two RBI and a run scored Tuesday against the Cubs.

Advice: Lee delivered a timely two-RBI double in the fourth inning and came around to score in the same frame. It was only his third performance of the season with multiple runs driven in and his first since May 4. Lee has now started six consecutive games, four of which have come at catcher and two at designated hitter. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:34 pm
    • Blows lead in eighth
Leasure (0-1) allowed two earned runs on two hits and one walk while striking out two to take the loss Tuesday against the Cubs.

Advice: Leasure entered the game in the eighth inning and was tasked with protecting a one-run lead. He retired the first batter he faced before allowing three consecutive baserunners, a stretch concluded by a two-run double. Leasure still has a solid 3.12 ERA for the season, but he's struggled considerably across his last five outings, allowing four earned runs with a 7:7 K:BB. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:29 pm
    • Excels in first rehab start
Cole (elbow) completed 3.1 scoreless innings in a minor-league rehab start with Double-A Somerset on Tuesday, allowing two hits and striking out five batters.

Advice: In the first of what is expected to be multiple rehab outings, Cole threw 45 pitches and hit 97 mph on the radar gun, per Brendan Kuty of The Athletic. The veteran hurler surrendered a single to the first batter he faced but yielded just one more hit over the remainder of his outing. The beginning of Cole's rehab stint couldn't have gone much better, but he still figures to need at least a couple more appearances in the minors before he's ready to join the Yankees' rotation. If he doesn't experience any setbacks, the reigning AL Cy Young Award winner could make his season debut for the big club in the latter half of June. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:28 pm

    • Drives in five vs. Marlins
Lowe went 2-for-4 with a three-run homer, a two-run double and two total runs scored in Tuesday's 9-5 win over Miami.

Advice: It was a big night for Lowe in his first start this year against a left-hander -- the second baseman tied the game 3-3 with a three-run homer off Jesus Luzardo in the fourth inning before adding two more RBI with a double in the fifth. The home run was the second of the season for Lowe, his first since March 29, after spending over a month on the IL with an oblique injury. He's now slashing .203/.320/.406 with 13 RBI and eight runs scored across 75 plate appearances on the campaign. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:26 pm
    • George Kirby strikes out nine in defeating A’s
George Kirby fanned nine while allowing two runs over five innings in the Mariners’ 4-3 win over the A’s on Tuesday.

Advice: This wasn’t Kirby’s smoothest outing, but it was good enough to get him back on the board for the first time in a few weeks. It’s just the second time this season he’s been credited with a victory in an outing in which he’s given up a run. He’s currently 5-5 with a 4.05 ERA and a 74/7 K/BB in 73 1/3 innings. • Mitch Spence charged with four runs in loss
Mitch Spence surrendered four runs in six innings Tuesday in a loss to the Mariners.

Advice: Spence’s arsenal appears average at best, but he’s thus far held his own in going 4-3 with a 3.86 ERA. The ERA likely will rise if he remains in the rotation, but the early results suggest the Rule 5 pick will at least hold his own in middle relief. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:25 pm

    • Josh Rojas goes 3-for-5 in Mariners’ victory
Josh Rojas finished 3-for-5 with a double and an RBI versus the A’s on Tuesday.

Advice: It’s the first three-hit game for Rojas since May 5, when he raised his average to .360. He’s hit just .229/.275/.282 in 85 plate appearances since that date, but it’s been enough to keep him starting against righties for now. The Mariners could reevaluate that after Jorge Polanco returns. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:25 pm
