    • Another strong start
Castill0 (2-4) picked up the win Thursday, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks over six innings against the Rangers. He struck out six.

Advice: Castillo had issues keeping the ball inside the park Thursday, allowing solo home runs to Nathaniel Lowe and Josh Smith in the first and fourth innings, respectively. He's now allowed a long ball in four of his six starts this season but has churned out three straight quality starts. During that stretch, Castillo owns a 1.89 ERA and a 24:3 K:BB across 19.0 innings. Rotowire.com 24 minutes ago

    • Takes loss against Royals
Berrios (4-1) took the loss Thursday against Kansas City, allowing two runs on three hits and three walks with a strikeout over five innings.

Advice: All of the damage against Berrios came via a Salvador Perez two-run home run in the first inning. Berrios failed to complete six innings for the first time this season, an impossible task considering Thursday's game was called after five frames. The outing snapped Berrios's scoreless inning streak that spanned 21.2 innings. He's tentatively scheduled for another start against the Royals on Tuesday. Rotowire.com Today, 9:46 pm
    • José Berríos handed loss in rain-shortened start
José Berríos allowed two runs over five innings with just one strikeout on Thursday in a loss to the Royals.

Advice: Berríos also walked three while allowing three hits. The 29-year-old right-hander had to battle over his five frames, but he was able to hold the Royals scoreless after allowing a two-run homer to Salvador Perez in the first inning. He likely would have been able to go deeper in this game if not for an extended rain delay, as he exited after throwing just 67 pitches. Berrios boasts an excellent 1.23 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 28/12 K/BB ratio across 36 2/3 innings (six starts). He’ll be back on the mound with a rematch against the Royals on Tuesday. • Mookie Betts tallies two hits, steals base in win
Mookie Betts went 2-for-3 with his sixth stolen base of the season on Thursday in the Dodgers’ win over the Nationals.

Advice: Betts continues to serve as Los Angeles’ primary offensive catalyst, which is even more unbelievable considering he’s playing shortstop everyday for the first time in his professional career. It’s unreal. The 31-year-old fantasy superstar’s latest multi-hit effort raises his batting average to a sublime .374 (40-for-107) mark to go along with 27 runs scored, six homers, 21 RBI and six steals through 27 games. • MacKenzie Gore allows one run in loss to Dodgers
MacKenzie Gore yielded one run over six innings on Thursday in a loss to the Dodgers.

Advice: Gore coaxed an impressive 17 swinging strikes, but it only led to four strikeouts and a pedestrian 27 percent CSW. He gave up only seven hits as a second-inning solo shot by Teoscar Hernández represented the lone tally against him in this one. Yet, it was still enough to hand him a loss as Washington’s offense mustered only one run on seven hits combined. He’ll bring a respectable 3.12 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 38/8 K/BB ratio across 26 innings (five starts) into a challenging road matchup on Tuesday against the defending World Series champion Rangers. • Trea Turner has three hits in win
Trea Turner went 3-for-5 with a double in a win over the Reds on Thursday.

Advice: Turner hit the ball well on Thursday, with five batted balls that were at least 96.7 mph. It continues a strong start to the season for the shortstop, who’s slashing .336/.388/.477 on the year with two home runs and six steals. As Bryce Harper continues to heat up, he should rack up far more runs scored as well. Rotoworld Today, 2:14 pm

    • Luis Castillo hurls six strong in victory over TEX
Luis Castillo struck out six while throwing six innings of two-run baseball to pick up a win over the Rangers on Thursday.

Advice: Castillo gave up four hits, and he walked two. There some traffic against the 31-year-old early, but he was able to keep runners at bay in another strong outing. Both runs came on solo blasts; one in the first by Nathaniel Lowe and another in the fourth by Josh Smith. After struggling in his first three starts, Castillo has allowed four earned runs total in his last three outings, and looks like the pitcher that fantasy managers were hoping to see. He’ll hope to keep it going against Atlanta next week. Rotoworld Today, 1:59 pm

    • A’s officially place Zack Gelof on 10-day IL
Athletics placed INF Zack Gelof (oblique) on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to April 24, with a left oblique strain.

Advice: This doesn’t come as a surprise as the 24-year-old second baseman was diagnosed with the strain Wednesday, but it’s a disappointment for fantasy managers that have him rostered. Abraham Toro is likely to take over at second while Gelof is sidelined. Rotoworld Today, 11:08 am

    • Placed on injured list
The Athletics placed Gelof on the 10-day injured list Thursday with a strained left oblique.

Advice: Gelof's injury caused him to be a late scratch from Oakland's lineup ahead of Wednesday's game, and it will now officially cost him at least another week and a half. The 24-year-old second baseman hadn't missed a start prior to Wednesday, though he's failed to make the most of his playing time, slashing just .196/.260/.337 with seven RBI across his first 101 plate appearances. Darell Hernaiz was recalled from Triple-A Las Vegas in a corresponding move. Rotowire.com Today, 11:07 am
