      Advice: Houck was terrific Monday and didn't let any baserunners reach scoring position. It was his fourth scoreless start of the year, dropping his season ERA to 1.94 through 65 frames. Houck entered Monday's start on a four-game losing streak over his previous five starts. However, he registered an impressive 2.87 ERA during that span.       Tanner Houck fired seven shutout innings on Monday in a win over the Rays.

      Advice: Houck authored another brilliant performance, scattering just two hits and one walk over seven nearly-flawless frames. He finished with five strikeouts and allowed just six batted balls with an exit velocity over 92 mph in this one. He’ll carry a sparkling 1.94 ERA, 0.95 WHIP and 62/12 K/BB ratio across 65 innings (10 starts) into a home tilt on Sunday against the Brewers.       Tyler Anderson limited the Rangers to one run and two hits over seven innings in the Angels’ 9-3 victory Friday.

      Advice: Anderson gave up eight hard-hit balls tonight, yet just two proved troublesome. One was a homer off the bat of Jonah Heim. The other was a double. It’s kind of baffling how Anderson has a 2.72 ERA with weaker peripherals than teammates Reid Detmers (5.19 ERA) and Patrick Sandoval (5.00 ERA).       Advice: The only blemish on Anderson's line was a solo shot by Jonah Heim in the second inning. The southpaw has won back-to-back starts after going 0-4 over his previous five outings. Despite what that losing streak may suggest, he registered a 4.08 ERA during that span, and Friday's start lowered his season ERA to 2.72 through 56.1 frames.       Schmidt (5-1) earned the win Thursday against Minnesota, allowing three hits and no walks across eight scoreless innings. He struck out eight.

      Advice: Schmidt hasn't allowed a run in 15.2 consecutive innings dating back to his May 4 start against Detroit. The 28-year-old was utterly dominant Thursday, setting a season high in punchouts while tying his season low in hits allowed. Schmidt is well on his way to a career year -- he owns a 2.49 ERA in 50.2 innings -- as a back-end starter in one of baseball's best rotations.       Clarke Schmidt matched a career-high with eight strikeouts over eight scoreless innings on Thursday in a win over the Twins.

      Advice: Schmidt authored the strongest start of his career during Thursday afternoon’s matinee at Target Field, completing seven innings for the first time in his career, while also scattering three hits and needing just 103 pitches (69 strikes) to navigate eight nearly-flawless frames. He generated 16 swinging strikes, including 10 on his cutter alone, finishing with a robust 34 percent CSW. The 28-year-old righty has been a revelation this season for fantasy managers as a late-round steal in deeper mixed leagues. He’ll carry a sparkling 2.49 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 55/15 K/BB ratio across 50 2/3 innings (nine starts) into a home outing on Tuesday against the Mariners. Rotoworld Thursday, 12:30 pm

      Houck (3-5) took the loss against Tampa Bay on Wednesday, allowing three runs (one earned) on five hits and three walks while striking out seven batters over 5.2 innings.

      Advice: Houck made it through three scoreless frames before giving up an unearned run in the fourth. The right-hander had a 2-1 lead when he exited with two outs and two runners on base in the sixth, but Greg Weissert gave up consecutive hits in relief to saddle Houck with two more runs (only one of which was earned) along with the loss. Despite the defeat, Houck gave Boston a solid chunk of innings again -- he's completed at least 5.2 frames in each of his nine outings this season.       Tanner Houck couldn’t get through the sixth inning against the Rays, but still managed to strike out seven and allow just two earned runs in a loss Wednesday. He also gave up five hits and three walks.

      Advice: Houck was humming along until back-to-back singles in the sixth inning sent Alex Cora to the bullpen with Houck at 112 pitches, the highest total of his career. Greg Weissert then allowed both inherited runners to score, spoiling Houck’s chance for a victory. Still solid, he’s looked more mortal in his last three starts with a 3.86 ERA and 20.0 K%.     • Blanks Nats for fourth win
      Crochet (4-4) picked up the win in Wednesday's 2-0 victory over the Nationals, giving up three hits and three walks over five scoreless innings. He struck out six.

      Advice: The left-hander wasn't exactly efficient, tossing only 56 of 89 pitches for strikes, but Crochet lasted long enough to qualify for the win. After a rough stretch in April, the 24-year-old has allowed only three runs over his last three starts (1.59 ERA) with a stellar 24:1 K:BB in 17 innings.
