    • Fans seven in return
Marsh did not factor into the decision Friday against the Angels, allowing one run on four hits and two walks over 5.1 innings. He struck out seven.

Advice: Marsh (elbow) looked sharp in his return from the injured list, tossing 85 pitches (59 strikes). The Kansas City right-hander lowered his ERA to 2.53 with the effort, maintaining his momentum after he tossed 10 shutout innings in his last two outings before the injured list stint. Marsh is scheduled to make his next start against the Mariners on the road. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:50 pm

    • Willy Adames doubles three times versus Cards
Willy Adames doubled three times and knocked in two runs Friday versus the Cardinals.

Advice: Not only is Adames exceeding expectations with his .265/.351/.476 line, but his seven steals are just one off his career high. Last year, he was 5-for-8 stealing bases in 149 games. This year, he’s 7-for-8 in 38 games. We wouldn’t expect him to keep that up, but it’s hard not to view him as a top-10 shortstop at this point. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:38 pm

    • Alec Marsh holds Angels to one run with seven Ks
Alec Marsh struck out seven while allowing just one run over 5 1/3 innings against the Angels on Friday while not factoring in the decision.

Advice: Marsh’s only run allowed came on a Jo Adell solo blast in the fifth. Unfortunately, that was the only run scored while either he or Griffin Canning was in the game, so no win for the 25-year-old in his return from the injured list. This was far from the toughest lineup that Marsh will face, but he did look solid while pitching into the sixth inning and throwing 85 pitches. He’ll get back on the mound in Seattle against the Mariners on Wednesday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:18 pm

    • Laces three doubles
Adames went 3-for-4 with three doubles, two RBI and two runs scored in Friday's victory over St. Louis.

Advice: Adames managed to collect all three of his doubles off different Cardinals pitchers -- Lance Lynn in the second inning, Matthew Liberatore in the fifth and Kyle Leahy in the seventh. With his effort Friday night, the Brewers shortstop has already reached double digits in the category, sporting 10 doubles on the season. Overall, Adames is slashing .265/.351/.476 with seven home runs, 23 runs scored and 27 RBI over 168 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:00 pm

    • Four hits, homer in win
Bellinger went 4-for-5 with two doubles, a solo home run and an additional run scored in Friday's 7-2 victory over the Pirates.

Advice: Bellinger opened the scoring in the first inning, launching a solo shot off an 0-2 pitch from Jared Jones to give the Cubs an early lead. The 28-year-old Bellinger is now 7-for-13 with a pair of home runs in three games since returning from the IL. Overall, he's slashing .268/.345/.536 with seven homers, 19 RBI and 13 runs scored through 25 games this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:39 pm
    • Craig Kimbrel pitches perfect seventh for hold
Craig Kimbrel protected a one-run lead in the seventh inning Friday against the Diamondbacks, striking out one in a perfect inning.

Advice: This wasn’t exactly a low-pressure situation for the struggling Kimbrel, but the Orioles did manage to get him in against the bottom of the Arizona lineup. Kimbrel retired Blaze Alexander, Kevin Newman and then leadoff man Ketel Marte in order. One or two more similar outings might get him another chance in the ninth. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:32 pm
    • Ronald Acuña Jr. goes deep in win
Ronald Acuña Jr. hit just his third home run of the season Friday in a win over the Mets.

Advice: A welcome sight, Acuña’s homer was an impressive shot traveling an estimated 461 feet through the cold, rainy New York night at 114.2 mph exit velocity. Acuña’s power hasn’t been there yet this season, but patience is a virtue with a superstar of this level. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:50 pm
    • Cody Bellinger goes 4-for-5, homers in Cubs’ win
Cody Bellinger finished 4-for-5 with a homer and two doubles Friday in the Cubs’ 7-2 takedown of the Pirates.

Advice: A great night, but somehow, he drove in only himself despite his other three hits all coming with men on base. His first double produced a run, but it actually scored on a Yasmani Grandal error when Nico Hoerner should have been out at home plate. Mike Tauchman stopped at third base on Bellinger’s other double. Bellinger is hitting .268/.345/.536 in 110 plate appearances. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:47 pm
    • Tanner Houck gives up three runs in loss to Nats
Tanner Houck dropped to 3-4 after surrendering three runs in seven innings Friday against the Nationals.

Advice: It’s absurd that Houck should have a sub-.500 record with a 2.24 ERA, but the Red Sox have totaled four runs in his four losses. This was not Houck at his best tonight; he gave up 11 hard-hit balls and settled for four strikeouts. He’ll face the Rays next. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:19 pm
