      Jordan Montgomery delivered a strong performance in Wednesday night’s victory over the Reds, allowing just two runs on seven hits over his seven frames.

      Advice: The 31-year-old southpaw walked two and struck out two batters on the evening. The Reds pushed a run across in the second inning on a run-scoring single by Stuart Fairchild, then added another on an RBI double by Jeimer Candelario in the fourth. The Phillies had the tying run on second with one out, but Romano was facing the right part of the lineup at that point and got both Kody Clemens and Whit Merrifield to pop up to end the game.       Advice: Tasked with protecting a three-run lead in the ninth, Romano allowed a run on a Bryson Stott double. However, he managed to strand the tying runs on second and third, inducing a pair of popouts, to lock down his fifth save of the year. While Romano is a perfect 5-for-5 in save chances, things haven't come easy of late -- he's now allowed a run and multiple hits in back-to-back appearances.
