    • Pops 11th homer
Henderson went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and an additional run scored Wednesday in a 7-6 extra-innings win over Washington.

Advice: Henderson gave Baltimore its first lead with a solo shot in the sixth inning. That snapped a seven-game stretch without a long ball for the shortstop, which was his longest homerless span of the campaign. Henderson is tied for second in the majors with 11 home runs on the season, and he's added 25 RBI, 28 runs, six stolen bases and a .271/.344/.563 slash line through 36 games. • LIfted in ninth inning again
Kimbrel was pulled in the ninth frame of Wednesday's game against the Nationals and was charged with two runs on two walks and a hit over two-thirds of an inning, though he was credited with a hold.

Advice: Kimbrel was called upon to protect a two-run ninth-inning lead and initially appeared set to do so with little trouble, as he retired the first two batters he faced. However, Eddie Rosario then tagged the veteran closer for a solo home run, and Kimbrel followed with two straight walks before he was given the hook. Keegan Akin allowed one of the inherited runners to score, thus sending the game into extra frames. Though Kimbrel was credited with a hold, he was pulled in a save situation in the ninth inning for his second straight outing, so his hold on the closer role for Baltimore could be getting tenuous. Over his past five contests, Kimbrel has blown two saves in addition to being pulled from a save situation on two occasions, and he's allowed six earned runs while posting a 4:7 K:BB across 2.1 innings during that stretch. • Craig Kimbrel blows another save against Nationals
Craig Kimbrel suffered his third blown save of the season on Wednesday night, giving up two runs on a hit and two walks while recording just two outs.

Advice: The 35-year-old right-hander has not pitched well since dealing with back soreness, and perhaps the Orioles want to consider a stint on the injured list to sit him down and get him right. Kimbrel came on with a 3-1 lead in the ninth inning of this one and got the first two hitters in order, but then served up a solo homer to Eddie Rosario and then walked a pair of batters before turning the ball over to Keegan Akin who allowed a game-tying RBI single to CJ Abrams. Kimbrel now sports an unappealing 4.73 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and a 21/9 K/BB ratio over 13 1/3 innings of work on the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:41 pm

    • Isaac Paredes plates lone run in loss to White Sox
Isaac Paredes went 1-for-3 with a double and drove in the Rays’ lone run in Wednesday evening’s loss to the White Sox.

Advice: The hard-hitting 25-year-old infielder got the Rays on the board first with a run-scoring double off of Chris Flexen in the fourth inning. That would wind up being their only tally in the contest though. Paredes also drew a walk in the ballgame, reaching base safely in two of his four plate appearances. For the season, he’s now hitting .300/.387/.523 with eight homers and 20 RBI. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:07 pm

    • Corey Seager sits for nightcap on Wednesday
Corey Seager is not in the Rangers’ starting lineup for the nightcap of Wednesday’s doubleheader against the Athletics.

Advice: The 30-year-old superstar shortstop went 0-for-3 with a walk and a strikeout during the first game and is slashing an underwhelming .230/.303/.309 with three homers and 13 RBI on the season. Josh Smith will start in his place at shortstop and bat fifth for the Rangers on Wednesday evening against Osvaldo Bido and the A’s. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:29 pm

    • Taking seat for nightcap
Seager is not in the lineup for Game 2 of Wednesday's doubleheader versus the Athletics.

Advice: The 30-year-old went 0-for-3 with a walk and a strikeout in the Game 1 loss, which ended a modest five-game hit streak. Josh Smith will shift to shortstop and Ezequiel Duran will start at third base while Seager receives some rest in the nightcap. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:22 pm

    • Cardinals and Mets postponed on Wednesday
Wednesday’s scheduled contest between the Cardinals and Mets in New York was postponed due to rain.

Advice: The game will be made up on August 5. The Cardinals’ scheduled starter, Sonny Gray, will pitch on Thursday against the Brewers. Mets’ scheduled starter Jose Quintana will pitch on Friday, pushing rookie right-hander Christian Scott back to Saturday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:19 pm

    • Mets-Cardinals game postponed
Gray and the Cardinals won't play the Mets on Wednesday after the game was postponed due to inclement weather, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.

Advice: The game will be made up Aug. 5, which had been a mutual off day for the two clubs. As a result of the postponement, Gray is expected to be pushed back one day in the pitching schedule to start Thursday in Milwaukee. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:55 pm

    • Sits out Wednesday
Jeffers is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Mariners.

Advice: He'll be given a breather while Christian Vazquez starts behind the plate. Jeffers has been an excellent No. 1 fantasy catcher for his managers this season, hitting .299 with seven home runs and 26 RBI. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:39 pm
