    • Spencer Steer slugs go-ahead homer vs. Rockies
Spencer Steer walloped a go-ahead two-run homer in the ninth inning on Wednesday in the Reds’ comeback win over the Rockies.

Advice: Steer was the hero on Wednesday afternoon at Coors Field for Cincinnati as he delivered a clutch go-ahead homer off Rockies closer Jalen Beeks with the Reds down to their final out. It was his seventh round-tripper of the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:31 pm

    • Belts fifth homer
Springer went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Tuesday's loss to the Orioles.

Advice: He supplied the Blue Jays' only offense in a 10-1 rout by taking Corbin Burnes deep in the seventh inning. Springer appears to be turning things around after his rough start to the season -- he's hit safely in seven of the last eight games, batting .385 (10-for-26) with two of his five homers on the year and an impressive 7:1 BB:K. • Springer homers in blowout loss to Orioles
George Springer went 1-for-3 with a home run in Tuesday’s loss to the Orioles.

Advice: The Blue Jays continue to struggle at the plate, with Springer’s home run, his fifth of the season, serving as their only run on the day. Springer is batting just .213 on the season but is 10-for-26 in his last eight games, with two homers and four RBI over that span. Rotoworld Tuesday, 6:55 pm
    • Settling into groove at plate
Steer went 3-for-5 with two RBI and a run scored in Monday's 13-3 win over Colorado.

Advice: After a rough May in which he posted a .176 average and .629 OPS, Steer has gotten off to a strong start to June. He's delivered multiple hits in all three games on the month, going 8-for-14. Steer's recent form is reminiscent of his body of work early in the season, when he hit .324/.435/.563 with 18 RBI over his first 20 games. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 5:15 am

    • Steer has three-hit game in win Monday
Spencer Steer went 3-for-5 with a run scored and two RBI against the Rockies on Monday.

Advice: Steer is up to 37 RBI in 58 games this season. He’s only hitting .243, but his .282 BABIP is a little lower than his career .302 BABIP. He should improve in that area and with 11 steals already he’s on pace to blow by his total of 15 steals from last year. Rotoworld Monday, 8:57 pm

    • Nolan Jones (back) starts rehab assignment
Nolan Jones (back, knee) began a minor league rehab assignment at Triple-A Albuquerque on Sunday.

Advice: The dynamic 26-year-old outfielder went 0-for-2 with a walk and was hit by a pitch in the contest. He should only need a few games to get his timing back before becoming an option to rejoin the Rockies’ lineup. Prior to landing on the injured list, Jones had struggled to a .170/.243/.277 slash line through his first 26 games with only one home run, seven RBI and a pair of stolen bases. • Back in action
Jones (knee) began a new rehab assignment with Triple-A Albuquerque on Sunday, MLB.com reports.

Advice: Jones originally landed on the injured list April 30 with a back issue, but he then injured his knee during his original rehab assignment. It's now the latter issue that is keeping him sidelined, though he played with Albuquerque on Sunday and went 0-for-2 with a walk while also being hit with a pitch and serving as the designated hitter. • Slugs homer in easy win
Garcia went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and an additional RBI during Sunday's 6-0 win over the Marlins.

Advice: Garcia snapped a five-game hitless streak Sunday, delivering two hits and pushing his RBI total to 40 this season. He also notched his 13th long ball of 2024, taking Trevor Rogers yard in the sixth frame. Garcia ranks top 15 in homers and RBI this year and is slashing .231/.285/.462 through 212 plate appearances. • Knocks three hits in loss
Soler went 3-for-4 with a double and two runs scored in Sunday's 7-5 loss to the Yankees.

Advice: This was Soler's first multi-hit effort since May 22, and he went just 4-for-27 over the eight contests in between. The 32-year-old briefly got a look at leadoff in May, but he's since returned to the middle of the Giants' order. He's yet to find a groove for any extended period in 2024, slashing .215/.294/.372 with six home runs, 16 RBI, 22 runs scored and eight doubles over 48 contests. Rotowire.com Sunday, 9:04 pm
