    • Dansby Swanson hits first homer since April 8
      Dansby Swanson slugged a three-run homer on Wednesday, propelling the Cubs to a 4-3 victory over the Astros.

      Advice: Swanson connected for a tone-setting homer off Astros rookie right-hander Spencer Arrighetti as part of Chicago’s four-run opening frame, which wound up being enough offense for Jameson Taillon and a quartet of Cubs relievers.       Swanson went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Wednesday's 4-3 win over the Astros.

      Advice: Swanson got the Cubs going early, hitting his big blast with two outs in the first inning to set the tone for the rest of the game. The shortstop, who is up to three home runs now for the season, has been off to a bit of a slow start overall with just a .235 batting average.       Amed Rosario went 2-for-4 with a double, two RBI, and a run scored in a loss to the Yankees on Sunday.

      Advice: Rosario clubbed an RBI double off Dennis Santana in the eighth but also had a 105.3 mph single off of Luis Gil earlier in the game. Injuries have forced the Rays to play Rosario more than they were likely planning to when the season started, but he’s slashing .351/.360/.527 so far on the year and deserves to be rostered in most formats. He’s a free swinger, so there’s a good chance this is just a hot streak, but he has been a fantasy asset before with his speed and likely will be for most of the 2024 season as well.       Rosario went 2-for-4 with a stolen base Saturday against the Yankees.

      Advice: Rosario was in the lineup for the seventh straight game, four of which have come against lefties. He's recorded multiple hits in five of those contests, producing two home runs, six RBI and five runs scored. Rosario has also recorded a stolen base in consecutive games, giving him a total of three on the season. Though the Rays initially envisioned Rosario in a small-side platoon role, he's emerging as an everyday player while playing primarily in right field against lefties and second base against righties.       Swanson went 2-for-3 with a walk, a double, an RBI and two runs scored in Friday's 8-3 win over the Marlins.

      Advice: Swanson extended his hitting streak to three games, which has helped push his season average up to .254. That's in line with the .244 mark he posted last year, though he batted .277 in his last season in Atlanta back in 2022, so there is room for growth.       Dansby Swanson singled, doubled, scored twice, drove in a run and drew a walk on Friday afternoon, helping to lead the Cubs to an 8-3 victory over the visiting Marlins.

      Advice: The 30-year-old shortstop delivered a two-out, run-scoring double off of A.J. Puk in the first inning that extended the Cubs’ early lead to 2-0. He then worked a walk in the third inning and scored on a two-run double by Miguel Amaya. Swanson also smacked a leadoff single to start the fifth inning and came around to score on an RBI knock off the bat of Mike Tauchman.       Amed Rosario went 2-for-4 with a triple and an RBI against the Angels on Thursday.

      Advice: Rosario plated Richie Palacios with his triple in the first inning off Griffin Canning to give Tampa Bay a 1-0 cushion. The three-bagger comes a day after Rosario blasted a two-run homer, and the former top prospect has been swinging the bat well to begin the 2024 campaign as seen in his .339 average and .532 slugging mark.     • Swipes bag in win
      Swanson went 2-for-5 with a stolen base and a run scored in Wednesday's 5-3 win over the Diamondbacks.

      Advice: Playing against the team that drafted him first overall back in 2015, Swanson notched his first multi-hit performance in 12 days. The shortstop hasn't really gotten going yet, as he's batting just .235 with two home runs and two stolen bases across 18 games.
