    • Wyatt Langford (hamstring) heading to 10-day IL
Rangers’ manager Bruce Bochy told reporters after Sunday’s game that Wyatt Langford will be placed on the injured list on Monday with a hamstring strain.

Advice: Bochy termed the injury as slightly more severe than a Grade 1 strain and noted that the 22-year-old outfielder will be facing a 3-4 week absence. It’s a tough break for fantasy managers who will need to be sure to have an alternative option in place for the next month or so while Langford recovers from the injury. Ezequiel Duran started in his place on Sunday and will likely see increased action while Langford is shelved. Rotoworld Today, 4:12 pm

    • Placed on 10-day IL
Langford (hamstring) was placed on the 10-day injured list Sunday, Jackson Stone of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Lanford is dealing with a right hamstring strain that he suffered in Saturday's win over the Royals, and he's now expected to miss 3-to-4 weeks according to manager Bruce Bochy. The 22-year-old typically operates as the team's designated hitter, and in his absence, Ezequiel Duran stands to see an increased role. Rotowire.com Today, 3:53 pm

    • Josh Hader yields go-ahead homer in ninth
Josh Hader lost after giving up a go-ahead homer in a tie game Sunday against the Mariners.

Advice: It’s the save situations in which Hader has struggled, but the loss today came after he was asked to preserve a tie. Cal Raleigh’s homer was the second surrendered by Hader in 14 2/3 innings this year. Given that his strikeout rate remains exceptional and his groundball rate is actually considerably higher than usual, we’re still not worried about Hader at all. Rotoworld Today, 3:01 pm

    • Dansby Swanson goes deep in victory over Brewers
Dansby Swanson walloped his fourth home run of the season on Sunday as the Cubs shut out the Brewers at Wrigley Field.

Advice: Swanson crushed a 399-foot (109.3 mph EV) solo shot off of Thaygo Viera in the sixth inning, extending the Cubs’ lead to 4-0. That would be his only hit in four at-bats on the afternoon. The 30-year-old infielder has had a rough go at the plate through the first month-plus of the 2024 campaign — slashing .220/.287/.358 to go along with four homers, 12 RBI and four stolen bases. • Stepping out of lineup
Soler is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Phillies, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Soler started the past 11 games but will sit Sunday after going 5-for-38 during that stretch. Wilmer Flores will bat third as the designated hitter. Rotowire.com Today, 1:36 pm

    • Sitting against lefty
Muncy is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against Atlanta, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.

Advice: The 33-year-old launched three homers in Saturday's contest but will still sit Sunday as lefty Max Fried pitches for Atlanta. According to Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times, manager Dave Roberts said Muncy's absence was planned prior to Saturday's contest, and the third baseman is expected to play in the next six contests. • Max Muncy gets Sunday off after three-homer game
Max Muncy is not in the starting lineup for the Dodgers on Sunday against Atlanta.

Advice: Muncy’s reward for a three-homer game Saturday vs. Atlanta is a day off against southpaw Max Fried. The 33-year-old slugger will sit with Enrique Hernandez playing third base and hitting fifth against Fried. Rotoworld Today, 10:07 am

    • Snaps team scoreless streak
Steer went 1-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base in Saturday's 2-1 loss to the Orioles.

Advice: Steer's ninth-inning single plated Cincinnati's lone run -- his team-leading 23rd RBI -- and snapped the club's 26-inning scoreless streak at home. The Reds, which started five players batting .200 or lower, have had issues scoring of late, batting .185 with 78 strikeouts over the last eight games (six losses). Steer's .333 average and .639 slugging with runners in scoring position could be more helpful if the Reds can get on base in front of him. The club ranks 27th in MLB with a .292 on-base percentage. • Held out of Sunday's lineup
Langford (hamstring) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game at Kansas City.

Advice: The 22-year-old departed Saturday's 15-4 win due to right hamstring tightness and will miss at least one start while the Rangers wait for the results of his MRI, according to Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News. Corey Seager will serve as the DH while Langford sits on Sunday, as Josh Smith starts at shortstop and Ezequiel Duran at third base. Rotowire.com Today, 8:52 am
