    • Gallen’s start moved up to face Dodgers
The Diamondbacks are moving up Zac Gallen’s next start to Thursday against the Dodgers.

Advice: The Arizona Diamondbacks want to get Gallen pitching on every fifth day until the All-Star break, which means he will now face the Dodgers instead of the Padres on Friday as was originally planned. Instead, Slade Cecconi will be moved back to take that start. It’s obviously not great news for fantasy leagues, but the Dodgers have some injuries in their lineup, and Gallen is talented enough that you’re probably starting him regardless of opponent. • Three hits Sunday
Raley went 3-for-5 with a double, an RBI and a run scored in Sunday's 5-3 loss to the Twins.

Advice: Raley was the only Mariner with more than one hit in Sunday's contest. It was his fourth time this season with three hits in a game. He wraps up the weekend going 4-for-9 after being reinserted into the lineup Saturday following some shoulder soreness he was dealing with earlier in the week. The 29-year-old is slashing .261/.305/.449 with nine homers, 23 RBI, 30 runs and an 8:69 BB:K in 221 plate appearances this season. Rotowire.com Today, 3:00 am

    • Hits for cycle in blowout win
Langford hit for the cycle in Sunday's 11-2 win over the Orioles, going 4-for-5 with four RBI and three runs scored.

Advice: Langford made history with the first cycle of the 2024 MLB season Sunday night. He flew out his first time up and then took off from there, tripling in the fourth and then later completing things with a three-run blast in his final at-bat of the evening in the eighth. Langford is putting together quite the rookie campaign despite the season struggles from the Rangers. He became the first rookie in MLB history with a cycle, a grand slam and an inside-the-park home run in a season. He also became the first Rangers rookie to hit for a cycle since 1985. Langford caps off a productive month of June, during which he slashed .309/.368/.526 with three homers, 22 RBI, 11 runs, six steals and an 8:17 BB:K in 106 plate appearances. • Another shaky outing Sunday
Irvin (6-5) took the loss against the Rangers on Sunday, allowing five runs on five hits and two walks while striking out two over 3.2 innings.

Advice: Irvin served up a two-run blast to Derek Hill in the second and was chased out of the game in the fourth after surrendering a triple, three singles and a walk, leading to three more runs for the Rangers. He's now failed to cover at least five innings in three straight starts and has given up 14 runs over that span while compiling just a 5:4 K:BB in his last 12.1 innings pitched. Irvin now owns a 4.13 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 56:17 K:BB in 80.2 innings this season. He's lined up for a start against the Athletics this weekend, though it's worth monitoring what manager Brandon Hyde decides to do with his rotation spot following his recent struggles with Dean Kremer (triceps) on the cusp of returning from a rehab assignment. • Wyatt Langford hits for cycle in rout of Orioles
Wyatt Langford hit for the cycle and drove in four runs as the Rangers bested the Orioles 11-2 on Sunday.

Advice: Langford had just 14 extra-base hits in 59 games this season before coming up with three tonight. The homer, his fourth, came in his fifth and final at-bat of the night. It caps off a fine June for Langford in which he hit .283/.347/.446 with two homers, 18 RBI and six steals in 25 games. Things will likely only keep getting better from here. • Cole Irvin tagged for five runs by Rangers
Cole Irvin lasted just 3 2/3 innings and gave up five runs in a loss to the Rangers on Sunday.

Advice: Irvin seemed safe from being threatened by Dean Kramer’s return, but with three poor outings in a row taking his ERA from 3.03 to 4.17, a demotion to the pen is realistic. Albert Suárez and Cade Povich are the other two candidates to be bumped from the rotation. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:16 pm

    • Luke Raley hobbled after taking pitch off foot
Luke Raley appeared hobbled in the Mariners clubhouse after Sunday’s game, which saw him get hit in the left foot by a pitch.

Advice: Manager Scott Servais didn’t mention anything regarding Raley after the game, suggesting that no X-rays or anything were required here. He’ll probably be fine for Tuesday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:40 pm

    • Luke Raley tallies three hits, RBI in loss
Luke Raley went 3-for-5 with an RBI on Sunday in the Mariners’ loss to the Twins.

Advice: Raley missed a handful of games earlier this week due to shoulder soreness, but hasn’t shown any signs of rust with four hits in nine at-bats over the weekend since getting back into the lineup. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:32 pm

    • Allows seven runs in loss
Gausman (6-7) suffered the loss Sunday, allowing seven runs on seven hits, five walks and a hit batsman against the Yankees. He struck out seven.

Advice: Gausman needed 107 pitches to record 13 outs, allowing season highs in runs (seven) and walks (five) while being tagged for three extra-base hits including a first-inning Aaron Judge two-run blast. Gausman did strike out seven batters to represent the fourth time this season he's reached at least seven in an outing, but that's nothing more than a minor silver lining around Sunday's ugly performance. It's the fifth time this season Gausman has allowed at least five runs in a start, and he closes the month of June with a 5.64 ERA over 36.2 innings spanning six starts. His next start is tentatively slated for when the Blue Jays head west to take on the Mariners in Seattle next weekend. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:57 pm
