    • Aiming to return by end of July
Trout (knee) has been swinging a bat as part of his rehab activities and is targeting a return from the 10-day injured list by the end of July, Jill Painter Lopez of the Associated Press reports.

Advice: Trout hasn't yet done work in the outfield, but he's anticipating being able to rejoin the Angels at the end of July. The future Hall of Famer hasn't played in a game since going 0-for-3 against Philadelphia on April 29. It's not yet clear if he'll play in any minor-league rehab games prior to rejoining the big club. Rotowire.com Monday, 1:58 pm

    • Picks up another win Sunday
Sale (13-3) earned the win over the Padres on Sunday, allowing one run on four hits and two walks while striking out four over five innings.

Advice: Sale let up a run in the opening frame but was able to limit the damage to just a run after allowing three base hits in the inning. He silenced the Padres from there to pick up his league-leading 13th win and his third consecutive victory. He becomes the first Atlanta pitcher since 2000 to head into the All-Star break with 13 wins. Sale has now allowed two or fewer runs in each of his last seven starts and heads into the break with a 2.70 ERA, 0.95 WHIP and 140:24 K:BB in 110 innings. Rotowire.com Monday, 7:47 am

    • Escapes with save
Fairbanks allowed two hits in a scoreless inning and earned a save against the Guardians on Sunday.

Advice: Fairbanks was tasked with protecting a 2-0 lead and found himself in danger after coughing up singles to the first two batters he faced. He managed to retire the next three to escape unscathed. Fairbanks has converted 17 of 19 save chances this season while producing a 3.21 ERA and a 32:15 K:BB. Since the start of June, he owns a 2.55 ERA with 12 saves in 17 appearances. Rotowire.com Sunday, 8:29 pm
    • Corey Seager named to American League All-Stars
Corey Seager was named to the American League All-Star team on Sunday as an injury replacement for Carlos Correa (foot).

Advice: It’s the fifth time that the 30-year-old shortstop has been named an All-Star. He’s certainly deserving of the honor, slashing .270/.355/.479 with 18 homers, 48 RBI and a stolen base through his first 83 ballgames. Rotoworld Sunday, 5:08 pm

    • Lifts 11th homer
Contreras went 1-for-4 with a solo home run, a walk and two total runs scored in Sunday's 9-3 win over the Nationals.

Advice: Contreras went 0-for-10 over his previous three games. He was able to snap the slump in his second at-bat Sunday with his solo shot, which put the Brewers ahead 2-1 in the third inning. The All-Star catcher has had few quiet stretches this year. He's now at a .286/.352/.440 slash line with 11 homers, 55 RBI, 65 runs scored, 23 doubles and five stolen bases over 93 games. • Homers in four-hit game
Adames went 4-for-4 with a two-run home run, a double, a walk, two additional RBI and two total runs scored in Sunday's 9-3 win over the Nationals.

Advice: Adames has gone 9-for-21 (.429) with nine RBI over his last five games. The shortstop had his fingerprints all over this game, which saw him open the scoring with an RBI double in the first inning. He also wrapped up the offense with his eighth-inning homer. For the season, Adames is slashing .246/.330/.430 with 15 homers, 67 RBI, 52 runs scored, 12 stolen bases and 23 doubles across 97 games. Rotowire.com Sunday, 4:20 pm

    • Zac Gallen gets clobbered in first half finale
Zac Gallen was absolutely clobbered in a no-decision against the Blue Jays on Sunday afternoon, giving up seven runs (six earned) on nine hits in just 3 2/3 innings of work.

Advice: The right-hander walked one and struck out just one batter in the ballgame. The Blue Jays had scratched out just an unearned run against him through the first three frames, but the wheels fell off for Gallen in the fourth inning. There, the Jays’ scored on run-scoring singles by Daulton Varsho and Ernie Clement before they opened it up with a grand slam off the bat of Kevin Kiermaier. Gallen got just four swings and misses on 70 pitches in the game, registering a CSW of 26 percent. He finishes his first half with a 6-5 record, 3.87 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and a 76/21 K/BB ratio over 76 2/3 innings in his 15 starts. Rotoworld Sunday, 4:15 pm

    • Chris Sale defeats Padres to improve to 13-3
Chris Sale picked up his 13th victory of the season on Sunday, limiting the Padres to just one run on four hits over his five innings of work.

Advice: The 35-year-old southpaw struck out four batters on the afternoon while issuing a pair of free passes. The lone tally against him came on an RBI single by Xander Bogaerts in the opening inning. Sale was lifted after only 79 pitches (55 strikes) in this one, but the Braves’ bullpen was able to hang on for him. Sale got eight whiffs on the afternoon — six of those on his slider — while registering a CSW of 28 percent. He’ll head into the All-Star break with a 13-3 record, 2.70 ERA, 0.95 WHIP and a 140/24 K/BB ratio over 110 innings through his first 18 starts with the Braves. Rotoworld Sunday, 3:50 pm

    • Willy Adames clobbers homer, four hits in win
Willy Adames went 4-for-4 with a home run, double, walk, two runs scored, and four RBI in a 9-3 win over the Nationals.

Advice: This was a huge game for Adames who was never retired and on base five times as the Brewers avoided a sweep heading into the break. This mammoth game was a welcome sight as Adames had been hitting .214 over his last 30 games. His 67 RBI are fourth most in the National League. Rotoworld Sunday, 2:50 pm
