      Woo (elbow) is expected to rejoin the Mariners' rotation during their upcoming homestand, Ryan Divish of the Seattle Times reports.

      Advice: Manager Scott Servais wasn't ready to give an exact date for Woo's return but noted that it will be a day which would allow for an extra day of rest for the team's other starters. That would seem to point to Woo starting Friday against the Athletics, but the exact plans should be revealed soon. Emerson Hancock will be optioned to Triple-A Tacoma when Woo returns.     • Stymies Rockies at Coors
      Harrison (3-1) earned the win over the Rockies on Tuesday, tossing seven shutout innings while allowing four hits and two walks. He struck out two.

      Advice: Harrison twirled another gem Tuesday night, this time in hitter-friendly Coors Field. He tossed a career-best seven scoreless frames and has now allowed just one run over his last 18 innings pitched. Harrison battled control issues in Triple-A, but he seems to have shrugged off any concerns thus far. Through eight starts, Harrison has gone at least six innings and issued two or fewer walks five times. He's now down to a 3.20 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 40:12 K:BB in 45 innings and projects for a matchup at home against the Reds over the weekend. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 7:09 am
       
    • May get another rehab outing
      Rays manager Kevin Cash said Tuesday that the team will discuss whether Fairbanks (arm) will be activated or make another rehab appearance, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

      Advice: Fairbanks allowed two hits but completed a scoreless inning with Triple-A Durham on Tuesday. He averaged 97.3 mph with his four-seamer in the appearance, which is up a bit from his season average. It sounds like Fairbanks could be back as soon as the weekend series against the Yankees, but that decision hasn't been announced yet. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 6:55 am
       
    • Excellent against Cincinnati
      Gallen (4-2) earned the win Tuesday over the Reds, allowing one hit and three walks over six scoreless innings. He struck out six.

      Advice: Gallen had gone 11 days between starts after suffering a hamstring injury on April 26 against Seattle. He certainly looked healthy Tuesday, holding Cincinnati to one hit en route to his third scoreless outing this season. It's an encouraging effort from Gallen, who'd dropped his previous two starts, allowing eight runs over 10 innings in that span. He lowered his ERA to 2.84 with a 1.13 WHIP and 41:12 K:BB across seven starts (38 innings) this year. Gallen's currently in line for a road start Sunday against the Orioles in his next outing.     • Kyle Harrison combines on shutout of Rockies
      Kyle Harrison pitched four-hit ball for seven innings and combined with two relievers on a 5-0 shutout of the Rockies on Tuesday.

      Advice: Ryan Walker and Camilo Doval, who hadn’t pitched in five days, finished up the Giants’ shutout. Harrison struck out just two tonight and gave up a pair of 390-foot flies to Ezequiel Tovar and Jordan Beck, but he was never stressed. The win moves him to 3-1 with a 3.20 ERA.     • Gallen throws six shutout in win
      Zac Gallen threw six shutout innings in a 6-2 win over the Reds, allowing just one hit while striking out six.

      Advice: Gallen also walked three batters on the day and started just 11 of the 22 batters he faced with a strike. In fact, Gallen threw pitches in the strike zone just 46 percent of the time on the day; however, when he was able to get a pitch in the zone, the Reds had a really tough time making contact which led Gallen to post a 26 percent whiff rate and 30 percent CSW. It wasn’t his sharpest outing, but he benefited from a Reds team that is having a tough time hitting anybody right now.     • Rays send Pete Fairbanks on rehab assignment
      Rays send RHP Pete Fairbanks (nerve issue) on a rehab assignment to Triple-A Durham.

      Advice: Fairbanks has been sidelined since April 22 after he was placed on the injured list due to a nerve-related condition. He’ll get his first rehab start in Durham since being sidelined and if everything goes to plan, the 30-year-old hurler should be back with Tampa Bay in the next week or so.     • Yu Darvish spins five scoreless frames vs. Cubs
      Yu Darvish tossed five shutout innings on Monday in a no-decision against the Cubs.

      Advice: Darvish has reeled off 10 consecutive scoreless frames in a pair of starts since returning from a two-week absence due to neck tightness. The 37-year-old veteran righty finished with five strikeouts, and only issued one walk, scattering three hits over five frames in his return to Wrigley Field. He generated 15 swinging strikes and finished with a respectable 28 percent CSW, despite throwing 62 of 83 pitches for strikes. He’ll bring a strong 2.94 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 30/11 K/BB ratio across 33 2/3 innings (seven starts) into a challenging matchup on Sunday against the division-rival Dodgers.       Darvish (2-1) yielded three hits and a walk over five shutout frames Monday, striking out five and earning a win over the Cubs.

      Advice: Darvish scattered baserunners throughout his outing but ultimately kept the Cubs quiet for five innings. He was 0-1 with a 4.18 ERA before a brief stint on the injured list. Since returning, he's fired 10 shutout frames and dropped that number to 2.94 across seven starts. Darvish matched his season best with 15 swinging strikes, eight of which came via the slider.
