    • Falls apart in fifth inning
Lynn came away with a no-decision Thursday, giving up three runs on four hits and three walks over 4.1 innings in a 4-3 win versus the Pirates.

Advice: Lynn cruised through the first four innings, allowing only three baserunners to reach before he hit a wall in the fifth. He departed with the bases loaded in the fifth, and all three baserunners would come around to score. The veteran righty has struggled going deep into games of late, as this was his third straight start of less than five frames. The 37-year-old will take a 3.75 ERA through 14 starts into his next outing, tentatively scheduled for early next week against the Marlins. Rotowire.com Thursday, 2:56 pm

    • Earns fourth straight win
Lodolo (7-2) earned the win against the Guardians on Wednesday, allowing two runs on seven hits and three walks with six strikeouts over six innings.

Advice: After retiring the first three batters he faced, Lodolo had traffic on the bases all night but limited the damage to just two runs. Lodolo even hit two batters, but he was able to battle for his fourth consecutive win and third straight quality start. Despite two stints on the injured list, Lodolo has had a huge bounceback season and now owns a 2.93 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 62:15 K:BB through 10 starts. He tentatively lines up to face the Pirates next Monday. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 8:07 pm

    • Nick Lodolo beats Guardians to earn seventh win
Nick Lodolo picked up his seventh victory of the season on Wednesday, limiting the Guardians to just two runs on seven hits over his six innings of work.

Advice: The 26-year-old southpaw struck out six batters on the evening while issuing three free passes. Lodolo walked David Fry with the bases loaded in the third inning to force in a run, then they scratched out a second run as Andres Gimenez bounced into a fielder’s choice in the fifth inning. Lodolo got 13 swings and misses on 102 pitches in the ballgame, registering a CSW of 23 percent. Now 7-2 on the season, he’ll look to keep the good times rolling as he brings a 2.93 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and a 62/15 K/BB ratio (58 1/3 innings) into Tuesday’s showdown against the Pirates in Pittsburgh. • Another scoreless start
Quantrill (6-4) picked up the win Tuesday against Minnesota, allowing three hits and one walk with five strikeouts across six scoreless innings.

Advice: Quantrill has gone 11 straight innings without allowing a run and issued fewer than two walks for the first time in four starts. The 29-year-old didn't yield an extra-base hit Tuesday and didn't let a runner get past second base, qualifying for his sixth quality start in his last eight outings. While his strikeout stuff has been hit-or-miss, Quantrill owns a 6-1 record and a 1.91 ERA since the start of May. He's tentatively scheduled to face the Dodgers at Coors Field on Monday. Quantrill allowed four runs in 4.1 innings when he faced the Dodgers in Los Angeles on June 1. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 10:12 pm

    • Quantrill pitches six scoreless innings in win
Cal Quantrill pitched six scoreless innings while striking out five, earning the win in the Rockies’ 5-4 win over the Twins.

Advice: Quantril hasn’t allowed a run in his last two starts, scattering six hits over 11 frames while walking five. The veteran righty held the Twins to just three hits while on the mound, positioning himself nicely to earn his sixth win of the season. Quantril now has an ERA of 3.30 and a WHIP of 1.25. After a slow start to the season, he’s allowed just 10 earned runs over his last 41 innings (2.20 ERA) and will have a chance to earn his seventh win on Monday against the Dodgers. • Bobby Miller to make rehab start Thursday at AAA
Bobby Miller will make another minor league rehab start on Thursday for Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Advice: Dodgers manager Dave Roberts told reporters that Miller will return to Los Angeles if he gets through this latest rehab outing without any issues. The 25-year-old righty has been on the shelf since mid-April due to right shoulder inflammation, but it sounds like he’s really close to making it back. Rotoworld Tuesday, 5:12 pm

    • Geared up for another rehab start
Miller (shoulder) will make another rehab start with Triple-A Oklahoma City on Thursday, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Miller was effective in his last outing with Oklahoma City, pitching four innings, allowing one run on four hits and two walks while striking out two batters Friday. Manager Dave Roberts said that if all goes well Thursday, it'll be Miller's final appearance of his rehab assignment before he'll return to the major-league roster. The 25-year-old has been on the 15-day injured list since April 13 due to right shoulder inflammation, but Miller now appears to be on the doorstep of making his return after two months on the shelf. • Could make another rehab start
The Dodgers may be leaning toward having Miller (shoulder) make another rehab start in the minors, per MLB.com.

Advice: In Miller's most recent rehab outing with Triple-A Oklahoma City on Friday, he worked four-plus innings and threw 85 pitches while sitting at 97-to-98 mph on his fastball. There had been talk of that appearance being the right-hander's final one in the minors before his return to the Dodgers' rotation, but it appears the organization may instead want him to get in one more rehab start. Miller said after Friday's appearance that he felt healthy, so an additional minor-league outing appears to be less about his health and more about his effectiveness -- he's posted a 6.97 ERA, 1.74 WHIP and 6:5 K:BB over 10.1 innings during his rehab stint thus far. The Dodgers begin a stretch Tuesday during which they play on 13 consecutive days, so it stands to reason that if Miller doesn't have any setbacks, he'll be back in the majors sometime during that span. • Allows five runs Sunday
Sandoval did not factor into the decision in Sunday's win over the Astros, allowing five runs on eight hits and three walks while striking out four over 5.2 innings.

Advice: Sandoval started out with two scoreless frames before the Astros manufactured three runs in the third on two walks and four hits. He then gave up a run-scoring double from Jose Abreu in the sixth before exiting the game for good. Abreu would end up scoring that inning as well. Sandoval just missed out on a third straight start of reaching six innings and the eight hits given up were his most since he allowed 11 on May 12. Walks also continue to be an issue for the left-hander, as he's allowed at least three walks in four of his last five starts. Sandoval now owns a 5.23 ERA, 1.47 WHIP and 75:31 K:BB in 72.1 innings this year and lines up to take the mound again versus the Giants over the weekend. Rotowire.com Monday, 8:53 am
