    • Records ninth save
Clase earned the save over the Astros on Wednesday, striking out one over a perfect 10th inning.

Advice: Clase entered the contest with a one-run lead in the bottom of the 10th and needed only five pitches to retire the side and secure his ninth save of the season. The right-hander has now converted each of his last five save attempts (over nine appearances), posting a 10:1 K:BB over that stretch. He now sports a pristine 0.55 ERA following Wednesday's scoreless appearance. Rotowire.com Today, 4:29 am
    • Emmanuel Clase earns tenth save vs. Astros
Emmanuel Clase struck out one batter in a scoreless tenth inning to earn the save against the Astros.

Advice: After the Guardians took a one-run lead in the top of the tenth inning, Clase was called on to close it out in the bottom of the frame. He struck out the first batter, then got Mauricio Dubón to line into a double play with the help of an outstanding diving catch by Steven Kwan. Clase is up to nine saves with a 0.55 ERA, 0.80 WHIP, and a 16/1 K/BB ratio across 16 1/3 innings of work. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:00 pm
    • Kremer keeps Yankees at bay in win
Dean Kremer allowed two runs on four hits in seven innings in a win over the Yankees on Tuesday.

Advice: Kremer walked four and gave up two home runs on the day, but he also struck out four and continuously pitched himself out of any trouble. The right-hander had just an 18 percent whiff rate on the day, including just three whiffs on 27 swings on his three different types of fastballs. Still, he pounded the zone with all three of them and got enough whiffs on the splitter to carry him through. He now has a 4.19 ERA on the year but will be tough to start in Cincinnati on Sunday unless you’re in a deeper format. Rotoworld Tuesday, 7:16 pm

    • Wins second straight
Kremer (2-2) earned the win Tuesday against the Yankees, allowing two runs on four hits and four walks over seven innings. He struck out two.

Advice: After going 0-2 with a 4.91 ERA in his first two starts this year, Kremer's now won back-to-back outings, allowing four runs over 12.1 innings in that span. The home-run ball continues to hurt Kremer -- he's allowed eight homers so far this year, tied for third most in the league. Still, he's managed to post a respectable 4.19 ERA with a 1.08 WHIP and 31:10 K:BB over six starts (34.1 innings). Kremer's currently in line for a road matchup with the Reds on Sunday in his next start. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 6:36 pm

    • Nick Lodolo strikes out 11 in defeating Padres
Nick Lodolo limited the Padres to one run and one hit while striking out 11 in seven innings Monday in the Reds’ 5-2 victory.

Advice: That Lodolo has looked this good this soon after his season-opening IL stint has been a very nice surprise. Maybe he’s not as good of a bet to stay healthy as some, but he’s throwing like an ace right now and the stuff is there for him to keep it up. Rotoworld Monday, 11:05 pm

    • Punches out 11 Padres in victory
Lodolo (3-0) earned the win over San Diego on Monday, allowing one run on one hit and two walks while striking out 11 batters over seven innings.

Advice: Lodolo's outing got off to an inauspicious start when he gave up a home run to the first batter he faced (Jurickson Profar), but that would end up being the only hit given up by the 26-year-old hurler over seven frames. The southpaw finished with an impressive 22 whiffs and a season-high 11 punchouts, marking his second double-digit strikeout effort through four starts. Lodolo has given up one or zero runs in three of those appearances and is thriving thus far with a 1.88 ERA, 0.88 WHIP and 31:6 K:BB over 24 innings. Rotowire.com Monday, 11:03 pm

    • Solid start against Mets
Lynn didn't factor into the decision Sunday against the Mets, allowing one run on five hits and three walks over five innings. He struck out three batters.

Advice: Lynn walked at least three batters for the third time in his last four starts. However, the only run charged against him came on a solo home run by Francisco Lindor in the sixth. During his last four appearances, Lynn owns a 2.05 ERA with 17 strikeouts and 11 walks over 22.0 innings. He's lined up for a start against the White Sox on Saturday. • Takes extra-inning loss
Clase (1-1) took the loss Sunday against Atlanta, allowing one unearned run on one hit in one-third of an inning.

Advice: After striking out Ozzie Albies to open up the bottom half of the 10th frame, Clase surrendered a walk-off base hit to Austin Riley to bring home the designated runner. The outing snapped a streak of six consecutive scoreless appearances (covering six frames) and three straight perfect innings. Still, Clase is tied for the sixth-most saves in baseball with eight. • Lit up by Orioles
Blackburn did not factor into the decision during Sunday's 7-6 win over the Orioles, allowing six runs on seven hits and one walk over four innings. He struck out five.

Advice: Blackburn was lit up by the Orioles, allowing four extra-base hits, including three home runs. He was on the hook for his second loss until the A's salvaged the come-from-behind win. Following a flawless start to the season that saw him allow no earned runs spanning 19.1 innings through his first three starts, Blackburn has progressively regressed over his next three starts, allowing 13 runs over that 15.2 inning stretch. He'll look to right the ship during his next start, tentatively slated to take place next weekend when the Miami Marlins come to Oakland for a three-game set. Rotowire.com Sunday, 5:48 pm
