      Advice: Gilbert can be partly to blame for this loss, as his throwing error on a pickoff attempt put Daz Cameron in position to score on a passed ball in the fifth inning. The Mariners' lack of offense was the other problem, which led to Gilbert taking his fourth loss in his last six outings. He's turned in a quality start in four of those games despite the lack of wins. The right-hander is at a 3.12 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and 76:20 K:BB through 83.2 innings over 13 starts this season.       Advice: Montgomery kicked off the contest with a pair of scoreless frames before coming completely unraveled in a calamitous third inning when San Francisco struck for six runs on six hits, including a pair of homers. He finished with two strikeouts and also issued one walk. The 31-year-old lefty has been hit extremely hard in his Arizona debut so far, allowing six earned runs in back-to-back outings and three of his nine starts so far since April 19. He’ll bring a bloated 6.80 ERA, 1.73 WHIP and 29/18 K/BB ratio across 46 1/3 innings (nine starts).
