• Moves to field
Langford started in left field and went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored in Wednesday's 6-1 win over Arizona.

Advice: This was Langford's second game back from a stint on the injured list due to a hamstring injury. He played his first game in the field after returning as the DH on Tuesday. With Evan Carter (back) on the injured list, Langford is in line for near-everyday work in left field. Rotowire.com Thursday, 4:57 am

  • Miguel Andujar doubles, drives in two
Miguel Andujar went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI on Wednesday against the Rays.

Advice: Andujar has shown some impressive signs early since returning from a knee injury late in spring training. He’s already 6-for-17 since being activated and hitting clean-up for Oakland. He could be someone to watch in deeper leagues. Rotoworld Wednesday, 6:58 pm

  • Goes yard in both ends of twin bill
Vierling went 4-for-8 with two home runs, three runs scored and five RBI across both games of Wednesday's doubleheader split with the Pirates.

Advice: Getting the start in center field in the opener and at third base in the second contest, Vierling was locked in at the plate no matter where he was stationed on the diamond. The 27-year-old crushed a three-run homer off Jared Jones in the fifth inning of an 8-0 win to kick off the twin bill, then launched a solo shot off Paul Skenes in the sixth inning of a 10-2 loss later in the afternoon. Vierling has four long balls among eight hits over his last three games, boosting his slash line on the season to .289/.320/.503 with seven homers, 22 runs and 28 RBI. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 4:27 pm

  • Matt Vierling homers again as Tigers drop nightcap
Matt Vierling homered for the fourth time in his last three games on Wednesday, but it wasn’t enough to lead the Tigers past the Pirates in the second game of Wednesday’s doubleheader.

Advice: After belting a pair of home runs — including a walk-off — on Sunday, and crushing a three-run shot in the first game on Wednesday, Vierling tagged Paul Skenes for a 373-foot solo shot in the sixth inning of the nightcap. He finished the afternoon 1-for-4 and is now slashing an impressive .289/.320/.503 to go along with seven homers and 28 RBI on the season. Rotoworld Wednesday, 3:29 pm

  • Wyatt Langford delivers RBI single in victory
Wyatt Langford went 2-for-4 with an RBI single on Wednesday in the Rangers’ win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Welcome back, Wyatt. After going 0-for-3 on Tuesday in his return from the injured list following a three-week absence recovering from a hamstring strain, Langford extended the Rangers’ late lead with an eighth-inning RBI single to left field to pick up his 12th RBI of the season. The 22-year-old top prospect represents an excellent buy-low target for fantasy managers in re-draft formats given his immense raw talent and everyday opportunity as part of Texas’ loaded lineup. • Matt Vierling hits three-run homer in rout
Matt Vierling went 3-for-4 with a homer and four RBI against the Pirates in the first game of Wednesday’s doubleheader.

Advice: Vierling has three homers and eight runs batted in in his last two games. His season OPS is up to .811, and especially now that Kerry Carpenter is on the IL, he should be a fixture against righties and lefties alike for at least the next couple of weeks. That makes him a decent play in mixed leagues, though it hurts that he’s become a zero in steals. Rotoworld Wednesday, 12:15 pm

  • Slugs game-winning homer
Ozuna went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 2-0 win over the Nationals.

Advice: The veteran slugger broke open a scoreless tie when he took Jacob Barnes deep in the seventh inning, continuing his most recent hit streak. Ozuna has reached base safely in 21 straight games, a stretch in which he's slashing .324/.409/.662 with seven homers and 16 RBI. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 7:43 am

  • Swats first homer of season
Andujar went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Tuesday's 3-0 win over the Rays.

Advice: The 29-year-old accounted for all the offense in the game when he took Zack Littell deep in the sixth inning. It was Andujar's first homer of the season, and he appears to be getting a chance to lock down the starting role in left field -- he's started three of four games since being activated from the injured list, going 4-for-12 with five RBI. • Could play regularly sans Carpenter
Vierling will start in center field and bat second in the first game of Wednesday's game against the Pirates.

Advice: Vierling had already started five of the Tigers' previous six games at three different positions (center field, left field and third base), but he should maintain an even more stable role in the outfield for at least the next week and a half after the Tigers placed Kerry Carpenter (back) on the 10-day injured list Wednesday. The 27-year-old Vierling has been one of the Tigers' top hitters in May, slashing .290/.320/.536 with three home runs, 16 RBI and eight runs on the month heading into Wednesday's twin bill.
