      Mason Miller fired a perfect ninth inning on Friday against the Blue Jays to pick up his first win of the season.

      Advice: Miller’s fastball velocity was down slightly in this one as he failed to touch triple-digits on three fastballs, but was still averaging a sizzling 99.4 mph in this one. He needed just 12 pitches to strike out a pair of batters in a flawless ninth inning before JJ Bleday delivered a walk-off homer in the bottom of the frame to give him his first win of the year. The hard-thrwoing 25-year-old former top prospect has blossomed into arguably the best reliever in baseball this season with 12 saves to go along with a stellar 2.20 ERA, 0.87 WHIP and 54/11 K/BB ratio across 28 2/3 innings (22 appearances).       Canning (2-6) allowed three runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out two over 6.1 innings to take the loss Friday versus the Astros.

      Advice: Canning picked up his second quality start in a row, but he's lost both of those starts due to a lack of run support. The right-hander has allowed four runs over his last 13 innings, though he hasn't exactly been dominant with a 6:3 K:BB in that span.
