• Plays catch Thursday
Mateo (concussion) played catch on the field at Rogers Centre in Toronto on Thursday, Matt Weyrich of The Baltimore Sun reports.

Advice: Mateo was placed on the 7-day concussion injured list Monday after his teammate, Cedric Mullins, inadvertently hit him with the bat in the back of the helmet while in the on-deck circle. It's not clear yet whether Mateo will have a chance to return when first eligible June 10, but him being able to travel with the team and take part in some baseball activities is a encouraging sign. • Eight RBI in last seven games
Rodgers went 2-for-4 with a double, three RBI and a run scored Wednesday against the Reds.

Advice: Rodgers accounted for the majority of his production with a two-RBI single in the first inning. He now has at least one extra-base hit and one RBI in three straight games and has driven in eight runs across his last seven starts. Rodgers has lacked power production early this season, though he has managed a .274 batting average with 46 combined runs and RBI across 57 games. Rotowire.com Thursday, 6:54 am
  • Exits starting nine
Marte is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Giants.

Advice: Marte had started each of the previous 18 contests for the Diamondbacks but will receive some rest during Wednesday's afternoon tilt. Blaze Alexander will cover second base for Marte. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 10:15 am
  • Records steal as pinch runner
Bliss entered Tuesday's win over the Athletics as a pinch runner in the top of the eighth inning and recorded a steal of second base. He did not log a subsequent plate appearance.

Advice: The speedy rookie is already up to three swipes over his first six big-league games, with those numbers coming on the heels of a 28-for-34 showing in the steals department at Triple-A Tacoma. Bliss has seen only one ball drop in thus far over his 15 plate appearances, but he's maintained a presence on the basepaths and set himself up for stolen-base opportunities by also drawing four walks in that span. • Three-hit night in win
Rojas went 3-for-5 with an RBI infield single, a double and a run in a win over the Athletics on Tuesday.

Advice: Rojas brought home Dylan Moore with his fourth-inning knock to extend the Mariners' lead to 4-1 at the time, marking only his second RBI in the last 15 games. In contrast, the two-bagger was Rojas' fifth during that same stretch, although those are his only extra-base hits dating back to May 5. Despite the overall lack of pop recently, Rojas is still one of the Mariners' more consistent bats with a .288 average and .781 OPS across 177 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 7:17 am

  • On base four times in win
Marte went 3-for-4 with a walk and a run scored in Tuesday's win over the Giants.

Advice: Marte notched three hits for the second time over his last three games and for the seventh time this season. He now has at least a hit in five of his last six games and boasts a 4:3 BB:K over that span as well. For the year, the 30-year-old is slashing .278/.337/.502 with 12 homers, 32 RBI, 40 runs and a 21:51 BB:K in 270 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 6:59 am
  • Josh Rojas goes 3-for-5 in Mariners’ victory
Josh Rojas finished 3-for-5 with a double and an RBI versus the A’s on Tuesday.

Advice: It’s the first three-hit game for Rojas since May 5, when he raised his average to .360. He’s hit just .229/.275/.282 in 85 plate appearances since that date, but it’s been enough to keep him starting against righties for now. The Mariners could reevaluate that after Jorge Polanco returns. Rotoworld Tuesday, 10:25 pm

  • Idle against lefty
Turang is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Phillies.

Advice: Turang will dodge a matchup with southpaw Cristopher Sanchez on Tuesday, joining fellow lefties Jake Bauers and Sal Frelick on the bench. Andruw Monasterio will play second and bat ninth. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 1:19 pm

  • Not in Tuesday's lineup
Valdez is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against Atlanta, Chris Cotillo of The Springfield Republican reports.

Advice: The 25-year-old is expected to serve as Boston's primary second baseman against right-handing pitching due to Vaughn Grissom (hamstring) and Romy Gonzalez (hamstring) being sidelined, but Valdez will sit Tuesday as lefty Max Fried takes the mound for Atlanta.
