• Henderson has three-hit game Thursday
Gunnar Henderson went 3-for-5 with a walk, two doubles, three runs scored, and an RBI against the Yankees on Thursday.

Advice: Henderson has a hit in 13 consecutive games. He’s 19-for-56 (.339) with 15 runs scored and eight RBI in that time. On the season, Henderson is up to .279 with a .965 OPS, 22 home runs and 50 RBI. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:45 pm
  • Jose Miranda hits game-tying homer in ninth
Jose Miranda blasted a three-run homer to tie the game in the ninth against the Rays.

Advice: With the Twins trailing 6-3 and two outs and two on in the ninth, Miranda came up huge with a three-run blast off Pete Fairbanks to send the game to extra innings. Unfortunately for Miranda and the Twins, they would still fall in the 10th. Miranda also hit a single, and the 25-year-old has hit a very respectable .280/.317/.477 over the first 74 games of 2024. • Yandy Diaz homers as Rays defeat Twins in 10
Yandy Diaz hit a two-run homer and doubled in an extra-inning loss to the Rays on Thursday.

Advice: Diaz absolutely clobbered a two-run homer that went an estimated 439 feet to extend the Rays’ lead to 6-2 in the ninth. It turns out the Rays would need those runs, as Minnesota scored four to tie it in the bottom half of the frame. Diaz is starting to heat up again, and he’s been much better than the .264/.327/.368 slash suggests after his slow start. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:30 pm

  • Dylan Moore homers and steals base in loss
Dylan Moore homered and stole a base Thursday in a loss to the Guardians.

Advice: Moore shellacked a Logan Allen pitch in the first inning to give Seattle a 2-0 lead. The steal gives the 31-year-old 13 on the season, and it’s the eighth homer of the season. Moore has scuffled in June with a .512 OPS, but he has homered in two of his last three games, and his power/speed combo will always be intriguing. Rotoworld Yesterday, 12:41 pm

  • Sitting out Thursday
Toro (shoulder) is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Royals.

Advice: Toro will miss out on a third consecutive start while he recovers from a sore shoulder, an injury that first cropped up in the Athletics' doubleheader with the Twins on Sunday. Aledmys Diaz will fill in at third base Thursday for Toro, who is considered day-to-day. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:55 am

  • Swipes two bags in win
Henderson went 1-for-4 with a double, a walk, two stolen bases and two runs scored in Wednesday's 7-6 extra-inning win over the Yankees.

Advice: Henderson has gone 16-for-51 (.314) with three home runs and three steals during his 12-game hitting streak. While he's struck out 16 times over that span, he's still making enough contact to be a huge positive atop the Orioles' lineup. For the season, the star shortstop is at a .273/.371/.582 slash line with a career-best 11 steals as well as 22 homers, 49 RBI and 59 runs scored over 72 contests. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 11:08 pm
  • Abraham Toro (shoulder) not in lineup Wednesday
Abraham Toro (shoulder) is not in the Athletics’ starting lineup on Wednesday.

Advice: Toro has apparently been battling a sore shoulder since Sunday’s doubleheader. The Athletics are hopeful that he’ll be able to avoid a stint on the injured list, but if this goes on for another couple of days they may need to change their stance. Tyler Nevin will start in his place at the hot corner and will bat fifth for the A’s against Cole Ragans and the Royals on Wednesday evening. Rotoworld Wednesday, 6:15 pm

  • Battling sore shoulder
Toro has been dealing with shoulder soreness ever since Sunday's doubleheader against the Twins, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Toro's shoulder injury helps explain why he will be missing his second consecutive game Wednesday versus the Royals. The Athletics are still optimistic that the 27-year-old infielder will be able to avoid a trip to the injured list, but he will see a doctor Wednesday in order to determine the best way to approach his injury. Tyler Nevin figures to operate as Oakland's main third baseman while Toro recovers. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 4:17 pm

  • Sitting second straight
Toro isn't in the Athletics' lineup for Wednesday's game against the Royals.

Advice: Although Toro has slashed .309/.338/.456 against left-handed pitchers this season, the Athletics will give Tyler Nevin another start at third base versus southpaw Cole Ragans. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 2:48 pm
