Thomas went 1-for-4 with a run scored and a stolen base in Sunday's loss to the Brewers.

Advice: The 28-year-old outfielder is sprinting into the All-Star break. While Thomas' homer drought stands at 23 games, he's reached base safely in all 14 games in July, slashing .298/.375/.351 for the month with three doubles, four RBI, six runs and six of his 23 steals on the season. • Homers in Sunday's win
Henderson went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 6-5 win over the Yankees.

Advice: Henderson's power pace has dipped in July -- he has two homers this month, though he's still hit .275 (14-for-51) over his last 12 contests. The shortstop's blast gave the Orioles a 2-1 lead in the third inning. Henderson is up to 28 homers this season, matching his total from 150 games last year in just 95 contests in 2024. He's added a .286/.373/.584 slash line, 63 RBI, 78 runs scored, 14 stolen bases, 18 doubles and five triples. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:52 pm
    • Pulled after three innings
Keller didn't factor into the decision Sunday against the White Sox, allowing two runs on four hits and three walks over three innings. He struck out three.

Advice: The Pirates opted not to bring Keller out for the fourth inning, providing the 28-year-old with additional rest ahead of the All-Star Break. Keller has thrown 114.1 innings in the first half of the campaign and is on pace to shatter his career highs in starts and innings pitched, so it's possible the Pirates monitor Keller's workload during the back half of 2024. Still, Keller should be a strong fantasy option when on the mound, as he has posted a 3.46 ERA with 105 strikeouts this season while cruising to a 10-5 record. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:19 pm

    • Eyeing July 26 return
Friedl (hamstring) will head to the Reds' training facility in Arizona this week to increase his baseball activities, and manager David Bell said Sunday that the outfielder is trending toward a July 26 return from the 10-day injured list, MLB.com reports.

Advice: Friedl was placed on the IL for the third time this season June 24 after he strained his right hamstring June 17 and played through the injury for about a week. The 28-year-old seems to be progressing as expected from his latest setback on the health front, but he still has a few more hurdles to clear in the recovery process before being activated. Once he's ready to rejoin the Reds, Friedl should step back in as the club's everyday center fielder. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:04 pm

    • Mitch Keller unexpectedly loses five-inning streak
Mitch Keller lasted just three innings on Sunday against the White Sox. He allowed two earned runs, walked three, and struck out three in a no-decision.

Advice: This was… odd. Keller didn’t look great in this one but also not bad by any means. He was pulled with just 57 pitches and the team has given no indication he was injured either. His command was more erratic than usual and maybe someone on the Pittsburgh bench spotted something and wanted him out of the game. This ended a streak of 49 consecutive starts by Keller where he pitched at least five innings. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:33 pm

    • Struggles continue into break
Rodon did not factor into the decision Sunday, allowing two runs on four hits and three walks over four innings against the Orioles. He struck out seven.

Advice: Rodon labored through his outing Sunday, needing 98 pitches to complete four innings and allowing only two runs but tossing four or more pitches to 17 of the 19 batters he faced. Rodon's no-decision was the first time in 15 starts he did not factor into the decision and broke a string of five straight defeats after winning eight of his previous nine during that stretch. The All-Star break will provide a much-needed respite for Rodon, who has an ERA of 9.66 with a 1.96 WHIP and 38 strikeouts over his last six starts spanning 27 innings. • Rodon goes four innings in no-decision vs. Orioles
Carlos Rodon labored over four innings while allowing two runs in a no-decision against the Orioles on Sunday.

Advice: He struck out seven. Rodon managed to keep the Orioles off the board outside of a two-run homer to Gunnar Henderson in the third inning, but he walked the tight rope. The southpaw allowed four hits and walked three, needing 98 pitches to get through his four frames. Rodon got off to a strong start this season, but the wheels have fallen off since the start of June and he’ll enter the second half as a major question mark for the Yankees. • Derby Warm-Up: Henderson clubs 28th HR in O’s win
Gunnar Henderson clubbed his 28th homer of the season Sunday against the Yankees.

Advice: Henderson took Carlos Rodon deep for a two-run shot in the third inning. With that blast, he’s already equaled his home run total from his entire rookie season. It’s scary to think about what his ceiling could be. Next up for Henderson is an appointment in the Home Run Derby on Monday in Arlington, Texas. Rotoworld Yesterday, 12:15 pm
    • Contending with plantar fasciitis
Twins manager Rocco Baldelli said prior to Sunday's game against the Giants that a recent MRI revealed that Correa (heel) is dealing with plantar fasciitis in his right foot, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

Advice: Correa is out of the lineup for a second straight game Sunday due to the injury, which had previously been classified as a bruised right heel. The updated diagnosis is somewhat worrisome considering that Correa contended with plantar fasciitis for a significant portion of the 2023 season, though that injury was to his left foot. According to Dan Hayes of The Athletic, Correa's latest case of plantar fasciitis isn't believed to be as severe as the one he dealt with in 2023, but the issue nonetheless makes it far from a lock that the veteran shortstop will be ready to go for the Twins' first game out of the All-Star break next Saturday versus the Brewers. Correa was named to his third All-Star Game and will still be in attendance for the Midsummer Classic in Arlington, Texas on Tuesday, but Hefland relays that his availability for the exhibition is up in the air at the moment due to the injury.
