    • Carlos Rodón’fans eight over six strong vs. MIL
Carlos Rodón gave up just one run while striking out eight in six innings of work while getting a win over the Brewers on Saturday.

Advice: We don’t have rooting interests, but it’s been refreshing to see Rodón look so effective over his past few starts. He allowed just two hits with one walk, and that makes 13 innings of one-run baseball over those last two outings. The injury concerns with Rodón are very real and consistency has not been his friend, but the 31-year-old absolutely has the stuff to be a dominant fantasy option. He’ll look to keep it going Thursday in a tough matchup with Baltimore. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:13 pm
    • Fans seven in no-decision
Keller allowed four runs on six hits and two walks over five frames in a no-decision against the Brewers on Thursday while striking out seven.

Advice: Keller got off to a rocky start, surrendering a solo home run to William Contreras in the second at-bat of the game. Back-to-back walks to open the frame and some shaky defense behind him then led to two more runs in the third. The right-hander failed to make it through six innings for the first time in his last four starts while allowing four earned runs for the fourth time this season. On a positive note, Keller did record his second-highest strikeout total of the campaign with seven. Rotowire.com Friday, 3:51 am

    • Picks up win in rainout
Ragans (1-2) earned the win Thursday against the Blue Jays, allowing one run on three hits and three walks over five innings. He struck out four.

Advice: Ragan technically pitched a complete game Thursday, with the outing being called after five innings due to rain. Regardless of the shortened game, Ragans managed to bounce back from a horrific start against the Orioles on Apr. 20 and got in the win column for the first time this season. Outside of his start against Baltimore, Ragans owns a 1.91 ERA with 33 strikeouts across 28.1 innings pitched. He's tentatively scheduled for a rematch with the Blue Jays in Toronto early next week. • Cole Ragans collects win in rain-shortened start
Cole Ragans held the Blue Jays to one run over five innings to collect his first win of the season in a rain-shortened start.

Advice: Ragans would have been able to go another inning or two if not for a nearly four-hour rain delay that eventually wound up ending the contest altogether. The 26-year-old left-hander bounced back from a dreadful outing last Saturday against the Orioles when he allowed seven runs in just 1 2/3 innings. A run-scoring single by Ernie Clement in the fourth inning accounted for the only damage against him in this one.. Ragans has mostly looked the part so far in 2024, and he’ll have a rematch with the Blue Jays on Tuesday. Rotoworld Thursday, 5:17 pm

    • Keller inconsistent in no-decision against MIL
Mitch Keller allowed four runs on six hits in five innings in a no-decision against the Brewers.

Advice: It wasn’t all bad for Keller, who had seven strikeouts and two walks while posting a 21 percent whiff rate and 29 percent CSW. He allowed only two extra-base hits on the day, but one of them was a solo home run and Keller’s fastball got hit hard throughout the day, allowing an average exit velocity of 98.1 mph. He had just five whiffs on 23 swings on the fastball and didn’t get a single whiff on either his sweeper or curve, so it was really his cutter doing all the lifting today. That’s not a recipe for success, and the right-hander will now carry a 5.14 ERA into a showdown against the A’s next week. If you’re not going to start him then (you should in most leagues) then he shouldn’t be on your roster. Rotoworld Thursday, 1:11 pm

    • Lasts just four innings in loss
Miller (3-2) took the loss against Texas on Wednesday, allowing two runs on four hits and four walks while striking out five batters over four-plus innings.

Advice: Miller made it through three scoreless frames before the Rangers got to him for a pair of solo homers in the fourth. The right-hander did come back out to the mound for the fifth frame, but he was pulled after issuing a leadoff walk, having thrown 83 pitches to that point. Miller's three-game quality start streak was thus snapped, as was his three-game win streak. He'll try to get back on track the next time he takes the mound, which lines up for early next week versus Atlanta. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 11:25 pm

    • Bryce Miller inefficient in loss to Rangers
Bryce Miller allowed two runs with five strikeouts over four innings in a loss against the Rangers on Wednesday.

Advice: Miller worked around two walks in the first inning, striking out the side. He tossed two more scoreless innings before Adolis García and Evan Carter went back-to-back for a pair of solo homers in the fourth. Two more runners would reach in the inning on a walk and a base hit before Miller could escape the frame. He’d be done after four on 83 pitches, walking a season-high four batters while striking out five. The 25-year-old right-hander ends the day with a 2.22 ERA, 0.99 WHIP, and a 29/11 K/BB ratio across 28 1/3 innings. Miller is in line for a tough matchup against the Braves in Seattle on Monday. • Locks up save No. 4
Estevez struck out two in a perfect ninth inning to pick up the save in a 7-4 win over the Orioles on Tuesday.

Advice: Estevez struck out Jackson Holliday and Adley Rutschman while getting Gunnar Henderson to ground out to retire the side in order. Tuesday was his first appearance in a week since blowing a save against the Rays. Outside of that outing, Estevez has been very reliable as the team's closer and doesn't face much competition for the job with Robert Stephenson (elbow) out for the year and Jose Soriano in the rotation. He now has four saves to go along with a 2.57 ERA, 0.57 WHIP and 7:0 K:BB in seven innings thus far. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 6:46 am

    • Carlos Estévez fans two in perfect ninth
Carlos Estévez struck out two in a perfect ninth for a save Tuesday versus the Orioles.

Advice: Estévez averaged 96.3 mph with his fastball tonight, which is up about two mph from spring training and one mph from Opening Day. He’s still one mph off from last year, but it’s looking like he’ll get there, and with Robert Stephenson out for the season and José Soriano in the rotation, he seems like a much better bet than he did a month ago.
