Joey Meneses drives in two runs to lead Nationals
Joey Meneses delivered a go-ahead two-run single in the eighth inning on Friday night, propelling the Nationals to a 3-1 victory over the Marlins in Miami.
Advice: Meneses had a chance to drive in some runs in the sixth inning — as he hit with the bases loaded an no outs — but he grounded into a double play. He didn’t fail in his next opportunity though, smacking a two-run single off of Calvin Faucher in the eighth inning to give the Nationals the lead. He’s still looking for his first home run on the season, hitting an empty .256/.333/.282 with 12 RBI.
