    • Colton Cowser drives in two as Orioles crush M’s
Colton Cowser singled, doubled, walked and drove in a pair of runs on Friday night as the Orioles crushed the Mariners.

Advice: Cowser clubbed a two-run double off of Bryce Miller in the first inning, extending the Orioles’ early advantage to 4-0. With his two-hit attack, the 24-year-old outfielder is now hitting .263/.348/.509 with six homers, 22 RBI and three stolen bases over 40 games on the season. Rotoworld 28 minutes ago

    • Dylan Moore clubs solo homer in loss to Orioles
Dylan Moore clubbed his fourth home run of the season on Friday night, but it wasn’t enough to power the Mariners past the Orioles in Baltimore.

Advice: Moore led off the game by smacking the first pitch thrown by John Means for a double into left field. He then came around to score the game’s first run on an RBI single off the bat of Mitch Garver. The versatile 31-year-old then tattooed a 405-foot (104.3 mph EV) solo shot in the fifth inning that pulled the M’s to within three runs at 5-2. Moore finished the night 2-for-4 and is now hitting .221/.314/.433 to go with four homers, 14 RBI and six stolen bases through his first 35 games. Rotoworld 29 minutes ago

    • Brandon Marsh delivers RBI double in win over Nats
Brandon Marsh walked and delivered an RBI double on Friday night, helping to lead the Phillies to a 4-2 victory over the visiting Nationals.

Advice: Marsh drew a walk off of Jake Irvin to lead off the second inning and ultimately came around to score on a wild pitch. He then smacked a run-scoring double off of Irvin in the third inning that extended the Phillies’ advantage to 4-1. On the season, the 26-year-old outfielder is now hitting .248/.309/.429 with six homers, 23 RBI and seven stolen bases through his first 40 games. Rotoworld Today, 6:00 pm

    • Eddie Rosario smacks RBI double in loss Friday
Eddie Rosario went 1-for-4 with an RBI double on Friday night as the Nationals fell to the Phillies in Philadelphia.

Advice: The Nationals had nobody on base with two outs in the fifth inning, when C.J. Abrams and Rosario hit back-to-back doubles off of Zack Wheeler to produce a run and pull the Nats to within two runs at 4-2. That would be as close as they would get. While Rosario has been productive this season from a fantasy perspective — with five homers and six stolen bases — he is still hitting a pitiful .179/.248/.369 through 106 at-bats on the season. • Close to swinging
Manager Pat Murphy said Friday that Mitchell (finger) is scheduled to begin swinging a bat during the Brewers' upcoming road trip, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Advice: Murphy suggested Mitchell's return to swinging will likely occur while the team is in Boston between May 24-26. Assuming the Brewers are still following general manager Matt Arnold's estimation of a June 1 return, Mitchell would be in line to begin a rehab assignment shortly after Milwaukee's series against the Red Sox. The speedy outfielder has been on the injured list all season after suffering a fractured finger during spring training. Rotowire.com Today, 3:26 pm

    • Back in starting lineup
Heyward (back) is starting in right field and batting eighth in Friday's game against the Reds, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Advice: Heyward appeared in just five games for the Dodgers, going 3-for-14 with two RBI before landing on the 10-day injured list April 3 due to lower-back tightness. It took about a month for the 34-year-old to return to baseball activities, and he appeared in two games with Triple-A Oklahoma City earlier in the week, going 0-for-6 with one walk and two strikeouts. The move corresponds with Max Muncy being placed on the 10-day IL with a right oblique strain. Rotowire.com Today, 3:22 pm

    • Dodgers activate Jason Heyward (back) from IL
Dodgers activated OF Jason Heyward from the 10-day injured list.

Advice: As anticipated, the 34-year-old slugger will slot right back into the Dodgers’ lineup on Friday night — starting in right field and batting eighth against Reds’ right-hander Frankie Montas. No word yet on the corresponding move to activate Heyward, but it’s definitely not Andy Pages, who is starting in center field and batting seventh for the Dodgers on Friday night. • Byron Buxton (knee) nearing activation from IL
Byron Buxton (knee) has joined the Twins in Cleveland and could be activated from the injured list as early as Saturday.

Advice: The dynamic 30-year-old outfielder played in a pair of rehab games at Triple-A St. Paul without incident and as long as he’s feeling alright on Saturday it sounds like he’ll be cleared to return. Buxton has hit .250/.300/.391 with just one home run, 11 RBI and one stolen base in 100 plate appearances with the Twins so far this season. Rotoworld Today, 3:10 pm

    • Joc Pederson scratched from D’Backs’ lineup Friday
Joc Pederson was scratched from the Diamondbacks’ starting lineup for Friday night’s series opener against the Tigers.

Advice: No word has been given yet for the late switch, but it’s possible that the Diamondbacks simply thought better of putting him out there against tough left-hander Tarik Skubal. Jake McCarthy will start in his place in right field while Randal Grichuk will function as the team’s designated hitter. Rotoworld Today, 2:59 pm
