    • Not starting Sunday
O'Hoppe (hand) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Guardians.

Advice: As expected, O'Hoppe will be on the bench for the day game to close out the series in Cleveland after he exited Saturday's 7-1 loss with a right hand contusion. Matt Thaiss will step in behind the plate for O'Hoppe, who should be viewed as day-to-day heading into Monday's series opener in Pittsburgh. Rotowire.com 14 minutes ago
    • Scoreless inning to earn win
Bednar (2-2) didn't allow a baserunner and struck out one in a scoreless ninth inning to earn the win Saturday against the Rockies.

Advice: Bednar entered in the ninth inning of a scoreless game and held the Rockies in check. It was a needed outing, as he entered Saturday having given up runs in each of his last three appearances. Bednar has an ugly 10.50 ERA and 1.50 WHIP across 12 frames for the season, though there is no indication that he's in danger of losing the closer role. Rotowire.com 51 minutes ago

    • Hurls six shutout frames in win
King (3-3) earned the win over the Diamondbacks on Saturday, allowing six hits over six shutout innings while striking out three.

Advice: King surrendered hits to three of the first four batters he faced in the contest but was able to work his way out of it before retiring the next 11 batters in succession. The right-hander didn't issue a walk for the first time this season, though his three strikeouts on the night also marked a season low. King had allowed at least four runs in back-to-back starts coming in and in three of his last four overall, taking three consecutive losses over that stretch. However, he's now posted three quality starts on the season and has gone at least five innings in five of his last six outings. Rotowire.com Today, 5:58 am

    • Michael King fires six scoreless in win Saturday
Michael King was outstanding in Saturday night’s victory over the Diamondbacks, scattering six hits over six innings of scoreless baseball.

Advice: The 28-year-old right-hander struck out three batters on the evening and didn’t issue a free pass. All six hits that he allowed in the ballgame were singles, and the Diamondbacks never really mounted a serious scoring threat against him. He got six swings and misses on 91 pitches on the night, posting a CSW of 23 percent. For the season, he now holds a 4.29 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and a 43/21 K/BB ratio over 42 innings in his first eight appearances (seven starts). He’ll look to replicate this fine outing when he toes the slab against the Dodgers on Friday night. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:07 pm

    • Picks up first hold Saturday
Duran gave up a hit and struck out two in a scoreless eighth inning Saturday to record his first hold of the season in a 3-1 win over the Red Sox.

Advice: The right-hander got the call to face the heart of Boston's order in the eighth rather than being held back for the save chance, and he got the job done without issue. Cole Sands then worked the ninth inning for the save. Duran had only one hold last season along with his 27 saves, and Twins manager Rocco Baldelli typically favors set roles in his bullpen over playing matchups in high-leverage spots, so there's no reason yet to assume this is a sign Duran will see less ninth-inning work than expected. He's appeared in three games since making his season debut Tuesday, posting a 5:0 K:BB over three scoreless frames and collecting saves in the other two contests. • Nails down 11th save
Holmes gave up a hit and struck out two in 1.1 scoreless innings Saturday to record his 11th save of the season in a 5-3 win over the Tigers.

Advice: The right-hander is tied with the Cardinals' Ryan Helsley for the league lead in saves. Holmes kept his ERA a pristine 0.00 with Saturday's performance, although he did give up three unearned runs in his one blown save, and through 15 innings he's delivered a 0.92 WHIP and 18:1 K:BB. • Logan O’Hoppe diagnosed with right hand contusion
The Angels announced that Logan O’Hoppe was diagnosed with a right hand contusion after exiting Saturday’s game against the Guardians.

Advice: It sounds like the 24-year-old backstop was fortunate to avoid any fractures after he had his had hit by a foul ball during Saturday’s game against the Guardians. He may need a day or two off to deal with pain and swelling, but shouldn’t be looking at any sort of extended absence. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:41 pm
    • Exits game with hand contusion
O'Hoppe was removed from Saturday's game against the Guardians with a right hand contusion, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Advice: O'Hoppe took a foul tip off his throwing hand in the bottom of the fourth inning. He initially remained in the game -- striking out in the top of the fifth -- before exiting prior to the bottom of the fifth. X-rays came back negative, so O'Hoppe can safely be called day-to-day. With an afternoon game coming Sunday, he would seem to be a safe bet to miss at least that contest. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:36 pm
    • Logan O’Hoppe exits game with hand injury Saturday
Logan O’Hoppe was removed from Saturday’s contest against the Guardians with a right hand injury.

Advice: O’Hoppe was clipped on the hand by a foul ball while behind the plate in the fourth inning on Saturday and appeared to be in quite a bit of pain. He’ll presumably head for X-rays to see if there’s any structural damage. Stay tuned. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:32 pm
