      Advice: There weren’t a ton of positive takeaways for Atlanta in this one, but Acuña continues to perform well with a pair of multi-hit performances in the series.       Suarez (6-0) collected the win Saturday versus the Giants, permitting three runs on seven hits and a walk over six innings. He struck out six.

      Advice: There was a rain delay before the game and more inclement weather during the contest, but Suarez seemed undaunted as he became the first six-game winner in baseball (Tyler Glasnow joined him later Saturday). It speaks as to how well Suarez has pitched this season that this was easily his worst start since his first outing of the season when he allowed three runs in five innings. The three runs the left-hander gave up Saturday matched his total from his previous five starts. With a matchup versus the Marlins looming next week, Suarez has a good chance to keep rolling.     • Ranger Suárez cruises to easy win over Giants
      Ranger Suárez gave up three runs over six innings on Saturday in a win over the Giants.

      Advice: Suárez was staked to a commanding nine-run advantage by the start of the third inning at a rain-soaked Citizens Bank Park, and wound up cruising to a relatively easy victory, gobbling up six frames before handing an 11-run lead over to Philadelphia’s bullpen. The 28-year-old southpaw isn’t overpowering, but he’s been extremely effective this season, allowing three earned runs or fewer in seven consecutive starts. He’ll bring a sparkling 1.72 ERA, 0.72 WHIP and 46/6 K/BB ratio across 47 innings (seven starts) into a road tilt next Saturday against the free-falling Marlins. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:15 pm
       
    • Luis Arraez collects four hits in Padres debut
      Luis Arraez had quite the night at the plate in his Padres debut on Saturday night, going 4-for-6 with a double, two runs scored and an RBI as the Padres walloped the Diamondbacks 13-1.

      Advice: Arraez led off the game with a double off of Brandon Pfaadt, then raced around to score the Padres’ first run on an RBI single off the bat of Manny Machado. He singled in the third inning and then added an RBI single in the fourth inning. Arraez also led off the seventh inning with a single and scored on an RBI double by Machado.     • Jurickson Profar has jack and a bag in victory
      Jurickson Profar went 3-for-4 with a two-run homer and a stolen base on Saturday night as the Padres demolished the Diamondbacks in San Diego.

      Advice: Profar didn’t seem to mind being dropped down to the fifth spot in the lineup following the addition of Luis Arraez. He reached on a fielder’s choice and swiped a base in the opening inning but was left stranded at second. He then led off the fourth inning with a single and scored on a ground ball off the bat of Luis Campusano. He also helped to pad the Padres’ lead with a 395-foot (102.0 mph EV) two-run shot off of Brandon Hughes in the seventh inning, making it a 7-0 ballgame. Conventional wisdom says that he’ll eventually crash back to earth, but Profar is on top of the world right now.       Luis Arraez will serve as the designated hitter and bat leadoff in his Padres’ debut against the Diamondbacks on Saturday night.

      Advice: The sweet-swinging 27-year-old was hitting .299/.347/.372 with zero homers and five RBI through 148 plate appearances with the Marlins. He’ll now serve as the catalyst for a Padres’ offense that could use a boost at the top of the order.       Manoah (shoulder) will start Sunday's game against the Nationals, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.

      Advice: Manoah has been on the injured list with right shoulder inflammation since the beginning of the season. He's made five rehab starts in the minors -- four at Triple-A Buffalo -- and has given up 19 runs across 19.2 total innings while posting a 28:11 K:BB. However, the 26-year-old looked dominant in his most recent Triple-A outing Tuesday, giving up one earned run across six innings while punching out 12 batters and walking two. Manoah's performance Tuesday could be a sign that his struggles are finally behind him, though he remains an extremely risky streaming option given his lack of consistency.       Alek Manoah (shoulder) will start Sunday’s game against the Nationals.

      Advice: Manoah will make his season debut after missing the first quarter of the season with his shoulder injury. His rehab starts were up-and-down — to put it mildly — but he struck out 12 over six innings Tuesday in his rehab start for Triple-A Buffalo. The right-hander isn’t that long removed from being one of the best starters in baseball, but his lack of success makes him a very risky fantasy option, even against a bad lineup like the Nationals.       Padres acquired Luis Arraez and cash considerations from the Marlins for OF Dillon Head, OF Jakob Marsee, 1B Nathan Martorella and RHP Woo-Suk Go.

      Advice: What was announced Friday is official Saturday. Arraez will head to the Padres after hitting .299 with a 719 OPS over 137 at-bats with the Marlins in 2023, and he’s a career .324/.377/.423 hitter in his time with the Fish and the Twins.
