    • Good to go Monday
Ragans (calf) is listed as the Royals' probable starting pitcher for Monday's game against the Brewers in Kansas City.

Advice: Ragans experienced cramping in his left calf in his most recent start this past Tuesday against the Blue Jays, but he had already tossed 6.2 innings (105 pitches) and likely wouldn't have stayed in the game any longer even if he wasn't experiencing any discomfort. The Royals didn't suggest that Ragans required any follow-up testing, so he's not expected to face any restrictions as he takes the hill Monday for his eighth start of the season. Ragans tentatively lines up for a two-start week, with his second outing expected to come Saturday against the Angels. Rotowire.com Today, 7:38 am

    • Homers, extends hit streak
Marte went 1-for-4 with a walk, a home run and two RBI in Sunday's 11-4 win over San Diego.

Advice: Marte took Matt Waldron deep with a two-run home run in the first inning, giving the Diamondbacks an early lead. It was the seventh consecutive game with a hit for Marte, who homered for the first time in 16 games. He's belted six home runs and is slashing .307/.361/.526 through 35 contests. • Hits second HR in three games
Cruz went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run during Sunday's 5-3 win over the Rockies.

Advice: Cruz' go-ahead no-doubter to right-center in the sixth put the Pirates up for good. Cruz, who also doubled, collected his first multi-hit game in 12 games and only his third since April 6. The talented shortstop, who broke a 17-game homer-less string Friday, has gone 14-for-42 (.333) over his last 13 games with two homers, six RBI and a steal. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:40 pm

    • Could be back by next weekend
Astros general manager Dana Brown said Sunday that Javier (neck) is expected to return from the 15-day injured list "by at least the Detroit series," which begins Friday, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

Advice: The right-hander threw 68 pitches during his rehab start with Double-A Corpus Christi on Saturday, allowing three runs on three hits with three strikeouts and two walks. The Astros have already listed their probable starters for the three-game set against the Yankees this week, which sets up Javier to potentially pitch next weekend in Detroit. • Oneil Cruz homers, doubles in Pirates’ victory
Oneil Cruz homered, doubled and walked Sunday in leading the Pirates to a 5-3 win over the Rockies.

Advice: The double would have been a homer in 24 parks, according to Statcast. Cruz left nothing to chance on the actual homer an at-bat later, sending it 429 feet to right-center. Cruz ended up with two homers and six hard-hit balls in the three-game series against the Rockies. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:39 pm

    • Javier (neck) could rejoin Astros during road trip
Cristian Javier (neck) could rejoin the Astros rotation during their upcoming road trip.

Advice: Javier didn’t pitch particularly well Saturday during his rehab start with Double-A Corpus Christi, but the three runs allowed over 3 1/3 innings aren’t what’s important. What does matter is that Javier felt good after the start, and he was able to throw 68 pitches. The Astros really need the rotation help right now, and while they won’t rush Javier back, the chance for a return in the next week or so looks promising. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:20 am
    • Swats pair of doubles Saturday
Garver went 2-for-5 with an RBI double and another two-bagger in a win over the Astros on Saturday.

Advice: Garver plated Jorge Polanco with his fourth-inning double, giving him his fourth RBI over the last seven games. The veteran offseason acquisition's solid performance Saturday notwithstanding, the early portion of his Mariners tenure qualifies as a considerable disappointment that's illustrated by his anemic .152/.262/.315 slash line and 32.7 percent strikeout rate across 107 plate appearances. • Allows 10 hits in loss
Pfaadt (1-2) took the loss against the Padres on Saturday, allowing five runs (three earned) on 10 hits over six innings. He struck out four.

Advice: Pfaadt struggled with San Diego's lineup throughout the contest, allowing hits to three of the first four batters he faced and surrendering three runs over the first four innings -- though one of those was unearned on account of a fielding error by Blaze Alexander. The right-hander was later relieved by Brandon Hughes in the seventh after surrendering back-to-back singles to open the frame, which led to an eight-run inning for the Padres. Despite his struggles on the night, Pfaadt still managed to log his second consecutive quality start and has now posted a 15:0 K:BB over his last two outings. However, he also allowed a season-high 10 hits in Saturday's loss and hasn't posted a win since March 31. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:17 am
    • Throws 68 pitches in rehab outing
Javier (neck) allowed three runs on three hits and two walks while striking out three across 3.1 innings in a rehab outing with Double-A Corpus Christi on Saturday, MLB.com reports.

Advice: The results weren't overly impressive, but it was otherwise a successful outing for Javier, as he was slated to throw roughly 65 pitches in the outing and met that goal (68 pitches). Assuming no news of a setback emerges, he could rejoin the Astros' rotation at some point in the upcoming week. Rotowire.com Saturday, 11:33 pm
