      Torkelson went 1-for-4 with a solo homer and two runs scored in Sunday's 6-4 loss to the Diamondbacks.

      Advice: Torkelson got the Tigers on the board with a solo blast to center off Jordan Montgomery in the third inning and later scored once more after reaching on a fielder's choice. After not homering in his first 37 games of the season, Torkelson now has three home runs in his last seven games and seems to finally be heating up after a slow start to the year. The 24-year-old also has at least a hit in 12 of 13 games dating back to May 5 and is now slashing .227/.291/.360 with 17 RBI, 21 runs and a 13:43 BB:K in 189 plate appearances.     • Spencer Torkelson goes deep in loss to D’Backs
      Spencer Torkelson clubbed his third home run of the season on Sunday afternoon, but it wasn’t enough to power the Tigers past the Diamondbacks in Arizona.

      Advice: The 24-year-old slugger got the Tigers on the board in the third inning, crushing a 428-foot (106.5 mph EV) solo shot off of Jordan Montgomery in the third inning. He also reached on a fielder’s choice in the seventh inning and scored on an RBI triple off the bat of Kerry Carpenter that was nearly an inside-the-park home run.       Vaughn went 2-for-3 with a walk, two home runs and four RBI in a 4-0 win over the Nationals during the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader.

      Advice: After looking shaky in the matinee by going 0-for-4 with two strikeouts, Vaughn's bat roared to life in the nightcap as he crushed a three-run homer off Mitchell Parker in the third inning before adding a solo shot off Jackson Rutledge in the eighth. All three of Vaughn's long balls on the season have come in the last five games, and over his last seven contests the 26-year-old first baseman has gone 9-for-26 (.346) with three doubles and six RBI.       Andrew Vaughn crushed a pair of homers to power the White Sox to a 4-0 victory over the Nationals in the second game of Tuesday’s doubleheader.

      Advice: Vaughn was a one-man wrecking crew in this one and appears to be coming out of his extended slump at the outset of the season with three homers over his last four contests. He took Nationals starter Parker Mitchell deep for a three-run shot in the third inning before capping off the multi-homer effort with an eighth-inning solo blast off rookie Jackson Rutledge.       Torkelson went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Monday's 6-5 win over the Marlins.

      Advice: After going the first 37 games of the season without launching any home runs, Torkelson has now blasted off in consecutive contests. Both home runs were two-run shots, and the 24-year-old could certainly keep it going, as he's shown the ability to hit long balls in bunches.       Spencer Torkelson slugged a go-ahead two-run homer on Monday, lifting the Tigers to a 6-5 victory over the Marlins.

      Advice: It was a big-time moment for Torkelson, who desperately needed one after a rocky few weeks to start to the year. The 24-year-old former first-overall pick connected for a go-ahead blast off Marlins reliever Anthony Maldonado in the eighth inning for just his second round-tripper of the season. It’s difficult to pinpoint the root of his struggles, especially since his plate skills have remained adequate, but he’s coming off a 31-homer campaign and should start hitting for more power once the weather warms up.       Torkelson went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 9-3 loss to the Astros.

      Advice: Torkelson finally broke through for his first home run of the 2024 season, launching a two-run shot off of Houston reliever Seth Martinez with two outs in the bottom of the ninth. After producing 31 home runs over 159 games in 2023, it took the first baseman 38 contests to go deep in 2024.       Spencer Torkelson finally hit his first homer of the season Sunday against the Astros.

      Advice: It was about as meaningless as a homer can be, coming with the Tigers down 9-1 with two outs in the ninth, but let’s not worry about that. Torkelson, who hit 31 homers last season, got his first today in his 164th plate appearances and 38th game.       Advice: Vaughn finally popped his first home run of the season when he took Pedro Avila deep in the eighth inning. He entered the game with only eight extra-base hits across 146 plate appearances, all of which were doubles. Overall, Vaughn is slashing just .196/.253/.275 across 150 plate appearances.
