    • Fans seven in victory
Lively (3-2) earned the win over the Mets on Monday, allowing one run on six hits and no walks while striking out seven batters over 5.2 innings.

Advice: The only run Lively allowed in the outing came via a Tomas Nido solo homer in the third inning. Lively was otherwise excellent, matching a season high with seven punchouts and falling one out shy of recording a quality start. The right-hander is in the midst of the best season of his career, posting a 2.84 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 38:12 K:BB over 38 innings. Prior to this season Lively owned a 5.05 ERA across 208.2 career frames. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:53 pm

    • Slugs grand slam in win
Freeman went 2-for-4 with a grand slam in Monday's 6-4 win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: The homer was Freeman's first since May 11 and his third in May. He gave the Dodgers the lead in the third inning, and they never looked back. Freeman is up to five long balls, 29 RBI, 31 runs scored, one stolen base and a .298/.409/.464 slash line through 50 contests. He's not hitting for as much power as he did last year, when he racked up 29 homers, 59 doubles and a .567 slugging percentage, but there's little to complain about from what the first baseman's provided so far in 2024. • Back in closer role Monday
Suarez picked up a save against Atlanta in the first game of a doubleheader Monday, retiring all three batters he faced in the ninth inning.

Advice: For most of the contest it seemed unlikely that Suarez would be deployed, as Atlanta got out to an early lead and was ahead 5-0 through four innings. However, San Diego fought back and took a one-run lead in the eighth, giving Suarez a chance to close things out in the ninth. He did so easily, needing just seven pitches to set down the side in order. Suarez had been used in the eighth inning to face the heart of Atlanta's order his previous time on the mound, but there's little doubt that he's San Diego's primary closer. The right-hander has registered a minuscule 0.44 ERA and 0.64 WHIP along with an 18:4 K:BB while racking up 13 saves in 13 chances on the season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:01 pm
    • Freddie Freeman delivers grand slam in victory
Freddie Freeman went 2-for-4 and hit a grand slam Monday as the Dodgers down the Diamondbacks 6-4.

Advice: The Dodgers scored all of their runs in the third, an inning that also featured homers from Kiké Hernandez and Will Smith. Freeman’s slam was the sixth of his career. He actually went his first 10 seasons without one, but he’s been playing catchup after finally collecting his first in Sept. 2020. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:23 pm
    • Picks up 14th save
Helsley walked one and struck out none over a scoreless and hitless inning to earn the save in Monday's 6-3 win over the Orioles.

Advice: Helsley hadn't pitched since last Tuesday, but he didn't show much rust. The closer is on a 10-inning scoreless streak, and he's earned seven saves and a win in that span. For the season, he's 14-for-15 in save chances with a 2-2 record, a 1.29 ERA, 0.86 WHIP and 23:3 K:BB over 21 innings. Helsley's strong pitching has helped him go unquestioned as the Cardinals' closer this year, though the team's 21-26 record leaves some doubt about whether he can keep picking up saves at such a strong pace. • Helsley records 14th save Monday
Ryan Helsley picked up his 14th save of the season against the Orioles on Monday.

Advice: Helsley pitched another scoreless ninth inning, which was his 15th consecutive appearance without allowing an earned run. He walked Austin Hays with two outs before getting Cedric Mullens to fly out to end the game. Helsley last allowed an earned run on April 8th. Since then he has converted 11 saves and finished 14 games. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:02 pm

    • Yields five runs
Bradley (1-2) allowed five runs on six hits over seven innings Monday, striking out 10 and taking a loss against Boston.

Advice: Bradley worked through three shutout frames before the Red Sox scored three runs in the fourth inning. Nearly all the damage against him came on a pair of two-run homers by Rafael Devers and Ceddanne Rafaela. Despite the poor final line, Bradley turned in his longest start of the year and matched his career best with seven innings. He owns a 4.00 ERA with an impressive 23:3 K:BB through 18 innings. His next start is projected to be at home against the Royals this weekend. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:06 pm

    • Taj Bradley strikes out 10 in loss to Red Sox
Taj Bradley struck out 10 and allowed five runs over seven innings on Monday in a loss to the Red Sox.

Advice: Bradley was burned by the long ball in this one as two-run homers by Rafael Devers and Ceddanne Rafaela in the fourth and fifth innings, respectively, accounted for nearly all of the damage against him. The 23-year-old former top prospect generated an eye-popping 22 swinging strikes and finished with a near-elite 36 percent CSW. He’ll bring a 4.00 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 23/3 K/BB ratio across 18 innings (three starts) into a home matchup on Sunday against the Royals. He should be rostered in all fantasy leagues at this juncture. • Ben Lively strikes out seven to defeat Mets
Ben Lively allowed one run over 5 2/3 innings on Monday in a win over the Mets.

Advice: Lively’s unexpected hot start continued in this one as he allowed three earned runs or fewer for the seventh consecutive start since making his season debut back on April 17. He matched a season-high with seven strikeouts and didn’t hand out a free pass. A third-inning solo shot by light-hitting backstop Tomás Nido represented the lone tally against him in this one. He’ll bring a strong 2.84 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 38/12 K/BB ratio across 38 innings (seven starts) into a favorable road matchup on Sunday against the Angels. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:02 pm
