      Craig Kimbrel allowed one run on two hits on Wednesday. He struck out one, blew the save, but wound up grabbing the win.

      Bibee (5-2) earned the win against the Mariners on Wednesday, allowing three hits and one walk while striking out 12 over six scoreless innings.

      Advice: Bibee was dominant, generating 20 swinging strikes on 93 pitches and surpassing last week's career high in strikeouts with 12. Bibee had allowed seven total runs in his first two June starts, but he bounced back in a big way Wednesday and has registered 30 strikeouts over 16.1 innings in three June outings.     • Garrett Crochet strikes out eight in loss to Astros
      Garrett Crochet allowed three runs with eight strikeouts across six innings in a loss to the Astros on Wednesday.

      Advice: Crochet came into this one on a roll, not allowing more than two runs over each of his last nine starts. The Astros got to him for three on Wednesday, starting with three hits and a groundout to bring a run across in the third inning. A walk and two hits brought another run in to score in the fourth. After a scoreless fifth, Crochet allowed one more run in on a double and a base hit in the sixth. He still generated 19 whiffs to strike out eight batters.     • Tanner Bibee strikes out career-high 12 in win
      Tanner Bibee struck out 12 batters in six shutout innings on Wednesday in an 8-0 win over the Mariners. He scattered three hits and walked just one.

      Advice: This was Bibee’s second straight start where he struck out double digit batters - the first two times of his career. His slider and curveball were both lethal while his fastball velocity stayed above 95 MPH and induced five swings and misses. His fastball has been hit hard this season with opposing hitters slugging .581 against it and its -14 Run Value is the lowest for any pitch single pitch in the league.       Happ went 2-for-4 with a double and a solo home run in Wednesday's 6-5 win over the Giants.

      Advice: Happ has been on a heater recently, as he now has five straight two-hit performances. The outfielder has gone deep three times during the hot streak, giving him nine home runs for the season.       Lane Thomas drew a walk and scored a run on Wednesday as the Nationals triumphed over the Diamondbacks in Washington.

      Advice: The 28-year-old outfielder worked a two-out walk off of Brandon Pfaadt in the sixth inning and then rode home on Jesse Winker’s go-ahead two-run blast. He finished the afternoon hitless in three at-bats. On the season, the dynamic outfielder is slashing just .228/.292/.386, though he has slugged seven homers and stolen 16 bases (in 20 attempts).       Ian Happ went 2-for-4 with a solo homer on Wednesday in the Cubs’ victory over the Giants.

      Suarez struck out one in a perfect ninth inning Wednesday to record his 18th save of the season in a 5-2 win over the Phillies.

      Advice: One day after blowing his first save chance of the season, Suarez was back in his usual form, firing nine of 13 pitches for strikes as he shut down the Phillies' 6-7-8 hitters. The 33-year-old right-hander came into 2024 with only one career save, but he's having a breakout campaign as the Padres' closer, posting a 1.17 ERA, 0.78 WHIP and 29:6 K:BB through 30.2 innings.       Hamilton (side) will start at shortstop and bat second in Wednesday's game against the Blue Jays, Mac Cerullo of the Boston Herald reports.

      Advice: Hamilton is back in the lineup after he was withheld from the starting nine Tuesday due to the left side injury he suffered in Monday's 7-3 win in the series opener. Despite opening Tuesday's 4-3 victory on the bench, Hamilton still made an impact with his legs, entering the game as a pinch runner in the eighth inning and contributing a stolen base and a run. With Hamilton checking out fine following his brief cameo Wednesday, he'll get the green light to start the series finale and will occupy a prominent spot in the batting order.
