    • Tanner Bibee starting on Friday vs. Padres
Tanner Bibee will start Friday’s second-half opener against the Padres.

Advice: It’ll be Gavin Williams and Ben Lively taking the ball this weekend for the remainder of the three-game second-half opening home series against the Padres. Bibee got hit hard in his final two outings prior to the Midsummer Classic, but has emerged as a borderline elite strikeout source over the last few weeks. The uptick in whiffs could lead to a monster second half. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:43 pm
    • Garrett Crochet starting Tuesday against Rangers
Garrett Crochet will make his second-half debut on Tuesday against the Rangers.

Advice: It’ll be Chris Flexen, Jonathan Cannon and Drew Thorpe taking the ball during a three-game set against the Royals before Erick Fedde and Crochet draw their first second-half starts against the Rangers. The 25-year-old southpaw, who excelled earlier this week in the Midsummer Classic, figures to be one of the biggest names potentially on the move at the trade deadline. This could wind up being his final outing in a White Sox uniform. Rotoworld Wednesday, 1:20 pm

    • Garrett Crochet shines in All-Star Game appearance
Garrett Crochet hurled a scoreless inning during Tuesday’s MLB All-Star Game at Globe Life Field.

Advice: Crochet, arguably the hottest name in trade rumors at the moment, one-out single from Alec Bohm to work a scoreless fourth inning. He got a pretty strikeout of Teoscar Hernández in the frame as well. The 25-year-old left-hander, who has paired an astronomical 35 percent strikeout rate with a microscopic 5 percent walk rate, could be a difference-maker in the playoff race, depending on where he winds up in a few weeks. • On base three times
Albies went 2-for-3 with a double, a walk, a stolen base and a run scored in Sunday's win over the Padres.

Advice: Albies began his day with a double and later led off the fourth with a single before stealing second and coming around to score on a base hit from Matt Olson. Albies has notched a double in three straight games and now has four multi-hit efforts in July. The 27-year-old switch hitter heads into the break slashing .258/.312/.410 with eight homers, 44 RBI, 47 runs, eight steals and a 24:59 BB:K in 381 plate appearances. • Stays hot on basepaths
Thomas went 1-for-4 with a run scored and a stolen base in Sunday's loss to the Brewers.

Advice: The 28-year-old outfielder is sprinting into the All-Star break. While Thomas' homer drought stands at 23 games, he's reached base safely in all 14 games in July, slashing .298/.375/.351 for the month with three doubles, four RBI, six runs and six of his 23 steals on the season. • On base four times Sunday
Lindor went 2-for-3 with two walks and an RBI in Sunday's loss to the Rockies.

Advice: The veteran shortstop heads into the All-Star break on a tear. Lindor got on base 10 times in 15 plate appearances during the three-game series against Colorado, and over his last 25 contests he's slashing .314/.397/.549 with nine doubles, five homers, seven steals, 18 RBI and 20 runs. • Slugs pair of homers
Tovar went 3-for-4 with two two-run home runs during Sunday's 8-5 win over the Mets.

Advice: Tovar chipped in two of the Rockies' six long balls Sunday, launching two-run homers off Jose Quintana in the first inning and Adrian Houser in the seventh. After going hitless in 28 at-bats to start July, Tovar is 11-for-25 since, with three doubles, five RBI and four runs scored. Despite the cold spell, the 22-year-old is slashing .274/.302/.462 with 14 home runs, 46 runs, 42 RBI and four stolen bases at the All-Star break. Rotowire.com Sunday, 9:25 pm

    • Takes tough-luck loss
Blanco (9-4) took the loss Sunday against the Rangers, allowing two runs on two hits and two walks with five strikeouts across six innings.

Advice: All the damage against Blanco came in the first inning, when Josh Smith launched a two-run home run. However, the Astros managed to score only one run until the ninth inning, sticking Blanco with the loss despite logging a quality start. The 30-year-old has been outstanding this season, owning a 2.56 ERA and a 0.97 WHIP over 109.0 innings at the All-Star break. Before 2024, Blanco had a career 4.78 ERA in 58.1 innings and had primarily been utilized out of the bullpen, making him one of baseball's biggest breakouts so far. • Struggles with command
Lodolo yielded two runs on three hits and four walks over 4.2 innings in a no-decision Sunday. He struck out four during the loss to Miami.

Advice: Lodolo kept the Marlins off the board through four innings before Jonah Bride knocked a two-run single in the fifth. Lodolo has failed to complete five frames in three straight outings since his win in Pittsburgh on June 18. During that three-start span, he's produced a lackluster 11:9 K:BB over 13 innings. Lodolo finishes his first half with a strong 3.33 ERA and 81:24 K:BB through 78.1 frames. Rotowire.com Sunday, 8:02 pm
