De La Cruz went 3-for-5 with a solo home run in a loss to the Red Sox on Saturday.

Advice: De La Cruz gave Cincinnati a 3-0 lead with his third-inning solo shot, but that turned out to be the final run the Reds scored in the game. The star shortstop came into the contest 0-for-10 with five strikeouts over his previous three contests, so the three-hit effort was a nice way to get back on track. De La Cruz now has 13 long balls on the campaign, and he's added 32 RBI, 48 runs, a league-leading 37 steals and a .240/.338/.444 slash line. Rotowire.com Saturday, 11:04 pm
    • Injury appears minor
Neto (calf) is expected to play Monday against the Athletics, Sam Blum of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Neto exited Saturday's game with left calf tightness, but it seems as though he's avoided significant injury. Manager Ron Washington said postgame that Neto should play in Monday's series opener, the Angels' next game after their team off day Sunday. Rotowire.com Saturday, 9:33 pm

    • Exits with calf injury
Neto was removed from Saturday's game against the Dodgers with left calf tightness.

Advice: Neto slid to field a ball at shortstop and fell back to the ground in pain after attempting to get up and throw the ball. Encouragingly, Neto was able to walk off the field unassisted and it's expected he'll be evaluated during Sunday's team day off. Luis Guillorme will slide to shortstop while Michael Stefanic enters at second base. Rotowire.com Saturday, 8:25 pm

    • Zach Neto diagnosed with left calf tightness
The Angels announced that Zach Neto was removed from Saturday’s contest due to tightness in his left calf.

Advice: The 23-year-old shortstop suffered the injury while making a sliding stop on a ground ball in the fourth inning on Saturday night. The severity of the injury — as well as how much time (if any) Neto may miss — remains unclear. Fantasy mangers who are counting on Neto for next week should be sure to have an alternative option at the ready in case Neto lands on the injured list. Rotoworld Saturday, 8:21 pm

    • Zach Neto leaves game with apparent leg injury
Zach Neto was pulled from Saturday night’s ballgame against the Dodgers due to an apparent leg injury.

Advice: Neto made a sliding stop deep in the hole in the fourth inning, but when he got up to throw it looked as though his leg gave out on him. The 23-year-old shortstop also fouled a ball off of his leg earlier in the contest. He’ll head for further evaluation to see exactly what’s going on there. Stay tuned as the Angels should have an update on his status shortly. Rotoworld Saturday, 8:16 pm

    • De La Cruz has three hits, home run against Boston
Elly De La Cruz went 3-for-5 with a solo home run against the Red Sox on Saturday.

Advice: De La Cruz’s home run was his 13th. He blasted a solo shot off Red Sox starter Nick Pivetta in the third inning. On the bases, he was held without a stolen base, though it wasn’t for lack of trying. De La Cruz was both caught stealing and picked off. He remains stuck on 37 stolen bases entering play Sunday. • Maikel Garcia gets a day off on Thursday
Maikel Garcia is not in the Royals’ lineup for Thursday’s game against the Athletics.

Advice: The 24-year-old is hitting just .145 in 16 games in June with 12 strikeouts. He does have four steals and 10 runs scored and is coming off a month of May where he hit .305, so this might be nothing but a brief cold stretch. The Royals will hope a day off helps him get back on track. In the meantime, Garrett Hampson will start at second base and hit eighth with Nick Loftin moving over to third base.
