    • Austin Riley stays hot with another homer
Austin Riley went 2-for-3 with a home run, two runs scored, and two walks on Friday against the Yankees.

Advice: Riley’s OPS has climbed from .618 to .744 in exactly one week. That is truly remarkable. It already feels like his putrid April and May will be a distant memory soon. If there was any question, the buy-low window on Riley has slammed shut. Rotoworld 39 minutes ago

    • Maikel Garcia gets a day off on Thursday
Maikel Garcia is not in the Royals’ lineup for Thursday’s game against the Athletics.

Advice: The 24-year-old is hitting just .145 in 16 games in June with 12 strikeouts. He does have four steals and 10 runs scored and is coming off a month of May where he hit .305, so this might be nothing but a brief cold stretch. The Royals will hope a day off helps him get back on track. In the meantime, Garrett Hampson will start at second base and hit eighth with Nick Loftin moving over to third base. • Full game at DH
Polanco (hamstring) took a full game's worth of plate appearances as the designated hitter in Triple-A Tacoma's win over Las Vegas on Wednesday, going 1-for-4 with a walk and a run.

Advice: Polanco's ability to play in back-to-back games for the second time in his rehab assignment appears to bode well for his chances of imminent activation. The veteran infielder already logged seven innings on defense Tuesday, so there may be nothing left to prove for Polanco in terms of the fitness of his previously ailing hamstring. • Swats solo shot in victory
Paredes went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Wednesday's 3-2 extra-inning win against Minnesota.

Advice: Paredes supplied the only run off Twins starter Joe Ryan with his third-inning solo shot to left field. The long ball was his first of June and just his second over his past 25 contests. Paredes has slowed down in the power department after a fast start to the season, but he's still the Rays' leader with 11 home runs overall. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 10:08 pm

    • Isaac Paredes leaves the yard in victory over Twins
Isaac Paredes slugged his 11th home run of the season on Wednesday night, helping to power the Twins past the Rays in extra innings.

Advice: Paredes opened the scoring in the contest with a 359-foot (95.5 mph EV) solo shot off of Joe Ryan that was pulled down the left field line. The 25-year-old slugger also singled and walked in the contest, finishing the night 2-for-3. On the season, he’s slashing a healthy .286/.368/.475 with the aforementioned 11 long balls and 39 RBI. • Productive third rehab game
Polanco (hamstring) shifted his rehab assignment to Triple-A Tacoma on Tuesday, playing seven innings at second base and going 1-for-3 with a double, a walk and a run in a loss to Las Vegas.

Advice: It was a feel-good night all around for Polanco within the context of his recovery, as he handled the bump up in affiliate from High-A Everett well and logged his longest time on the field yet over his first three minor-league games. The veteran infielder is likely due for at least one more outing with the Rainiers before activation is considered, and in addition to the apparently improved condition of his previously ailing hamstring, it's encouraging Polanco has reached safely in all three rehab games thus far. • Picks up three hits, stolen base
De La Cruz went 3-for-4 with a double and a stolen base in Monday's 4-1 loss to the Pirates.

Advice: De La Cruz produced his fifth three-hit effort of the season Monday. He has multi-hit games in three of his last four and a stolen base in three straight contests. The 22-year-old now has 37 steals through 72 games this season, which puts him on pace to reach 80 thefts by the end of the campaign. The speedster carries a .242/.340/.447 slash line with 12 home runs and 31 RBI. Rotowire.com Monday, 8:21 pm

    • Elly De La Cruz collects 37th steal in Reds’ loss
Elly De La Cruz went 3-for-4 with his 37th stolen base of the season on Monday in the Reds’ loss to the Pirates.

Advice: De La Cruz was one of the few bright spots in this one as Cincinnati’s offense was almost completely shut down by Pirates rookie ace Paul Skenes into the late innings of the first meeting between the two division rivals this year. The 22-year-old middle infielder remains on pace to steal roughly 80 bases this season as he’s picked it up on the bases recently, notching at least one theft in three straight contests. • Riley smacks two doubles in win over Tigers Monday
Austin Riley went 2-for-3 with two doubles and a run scored against the Tigers on Monday.

Advice: Riley is now 8-for-13 (.615) with three doubles, three home runs, eight RBI and two walks over his last four games. He’s had a down season so far, but seems to be pulling out of it. Riley’s average is up to .243 with a .712 OPS on the year. Rotoworld Monday, 6:59 pm
