    • Jalen Beeks gets save against Royals on Friday
Jalen Beeks picked up a save after throwing a scoreless inning against the Royals on Friday.

Advice: Beeks gave up a couple of hits, but the 30-year-old veteran was able to work around those runners to pick up his eighth save. He should continue to see the overwhelming majority of save chances in Colorado as long as he’s on the roster, but there’s obviously better fantasy options out there. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:29 pm

    • Strikes out 10 in loss
Gausman (6-8) allowed two runs on six hits and two walks while striking out 10 over six innings to take the loss Friday versus the Mariners.

Advice: Gausman allowed a two-run double to Luke Raley in the third inning, and that was enough to stick him with his fourth loss in five outings. This was his third 10-strikeout game of the year, as well as his third quality start over his last seven games. He's at a 4.64 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 101:27 K:BB through 97 innings over 18 starts overall. Gausman's next start is projected to be on the road in San Francisco. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:19 pm

    • Kevin Gausman fans 10 in loss to Blue Jays
Kevin Gausman struck out 10 over six innings of two-run baseball, but took a look Friday to the Mariners.

Advice: Gausman had the swing-and-miss stuff going and took advantage of a lineup that strikes out more than anyone in baseball. The right-hander allowed only a two-run double to Luke Raley in the contest, but unfortunately that was enough to pick up the loss with Luis Castillo holdin the Blue Jays to just one run. It’s still nice to see a strong outing from Gausman considering how mediocre he’s been for the majority of 2024, as his ERA is still a disappointing 4.64 on the campaign. • Masataka Yoshida hits game-tying homer in ninth
Masataka Yoshida went 1-for-4 with a dramatic two-run home run in a 5-3 win for the Red Sox over the Yankees on Friday.

Advice: This was a great moment for Yoshida in what’s been a disastrous season. Down to his final strike, he took Clay Holmes deep to push this game to extra innings where the Red Sox would eventually win it. It was Yoshida’s first homer since April 20th as a thumb strain kept him out for about six weeks. Still, he’s started against every right-handed pitcher since returning from the IL and is 8-for-22 over his last five games. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:09 pm
    • Snags eighth save
Beeks earned the save in Friday's 4-2 win over the Royals, pitching an inning with one strikeout and allowing two hits.

Advice: The southpaw reliever entered in the ninth and looked to be in danger after he allowed two straight singles to lead off the frame. However, Beeks recovered by retiring the next three batters to work out of the jam, securing his 13th career save. The 30-year-old has collected the last two Colorado saves and produced four straight outings without allowing an earned run over 5.1 innings. He now sports a 4.09 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 34:17 K:BB across 44 innings this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:02 pm

    • Jeff McNeil homers off Paul Skenes
Jeff McNeil went 1-for-3 with a solo home run on Friday against the Pirates.

Advice: McNeil is looking for any signs of life he can and going deep off Skenes is one. He had three hard-hit balls in total and can quickly become relevant again since he’s still in the Mets’ lineup nearly every game. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:23 pm

    • On bench again
Polanco is out of the lineup for Friday's game against Toronto.

Advice: Polanco is absent from the starting nine for a second consecutive game, as Dylan Moore fills second base and bats eighth Friday. Polanco is slashing .195/.284/.292 across 208 plate appearances this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:21 pm

    • Jorge Polanco not in Mariners’ lineup on Friday
Jorge Polanco is not in the Mariners’ starting lineup for Friday night’s tilt against the Blue Jays.

Advice: The 31-year-old second baseman has really struggled since returning from the injured list, hitting just .192/.222/.231 with no homers, one RBI and a 13/0 K/BB ratio over 27 plate appearances. Yikes. Dylan Moore will start in his place at second base on Friday night and will bat eighth against Kevin Gausman and the Blue Jays. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:21 pm

    • Records fourth steal in win
Rooker went 2-for-3 with an RBI single, a stolen base and a walk in a win over the Angels on Thursday.

Advice: Rooker provided the only multi-hit effort of the night for the Athletics while swiping a bag to tie the career high of four stolen bases he'd set in 2023. The 29-year-old is on a week-plus tear at the plate, hitting .394 and generating four multi-hit tallies in his last nine games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:56 am
