    Advice: Bailey did most of his damage during the Giants' five-run fourth inning, knocking a two-run double and coming around to score. He later capped off his day with an RBI double in the eighth. He'd been stuck in a 4-for-25 (.160) slump over his previous eight games since his last multi-hit effort June 20.     Kinley pitched two shutout innings Sunday against the White Sox, allowing zero hits and one walk while striking out one.

    Advice: The 33-year-old worked around the ghost runner in both the 11th and 12th innings, allowing just a single baserunner on an intentional walk. Fellow reliever Jalen Beeks earned the win in the 14th inning, but Kinley remains the preferred closer despite owning an ugly 8.27 ERA on the year.     Advice: Vaughn tied the game in the seventh inning with an RBI walk before knotting the game up in the 10th inning with a sacrifice fly.     Allen (8-4) took the loss Sunday against the Royals, allowing three earned runs on six hits and zero walks in 4.1 innings. He struck out three.

    Advice: Allen never found his footing, surrendering runs in the first two frames before exiting in the fifth inning. This comes off the back of a brutal outing during which he allowed three home runs and was pulled after just three innings. The 25-year-old has been an adequate source of wins thanks to the Cleveland offense, but he sports an ugly 5.75 ERA, a 1.54 WHIP and a 67:31 K:BB across 83 innings this season.   • Vaughn belts 10th home run, drives in three Sunday
    Andrew Vaughn went 2-for-4 with a walk, a solo home run and three RBI against the Rockies on Sunday.



    Advice: Vaughn’s home run was his 10th of the year. He hit a solo shot off Kyle Freeland in the fourth inning to bring the White Sox within a run, walked with the bases loaded in the seventh inning to tie the game and hit a sacrifice fly in the 10th inning to tie the game. Vaughn is 34-for-106 (.320) with six home runs and 20 RBI over his last 27 games. He’s hitting .244 with a .693 OPS and 39 RBI on the season.

  • Ramirez drives in run in loss to Royals Sunday
    Jose Ramirez went 1-for-4 with a run scored, a double and an RBI against the Royals on Sunday.

  • Allen gives up three runs in loss to Royals Sunday
    Logan Allen allowed three runs in 4 1/3 innings and took the loss against the Royals on Sunday.

    Advice: Allen gave up six hits, walked none and struck out three. His ERA was 5.83 at the end of May before winning two of his first three starts in June, but now his last two starts have his ERA back up to 5.75 on the year. Allen has won eight games for the Guardians, but you have to wonder how much longer he’s going to last in this rotation. The 27-year-old left-hander is set to face the Giants at home next weekend.
