• Clubs homer
Lindor went 2-for-5 with a solo home run, a double and an additional run scored during Tuesday's 7-2 extra-inning win over the Nationals.

Advice: Lindor got the Mets on the board with a sixth-inning solo home run off DJ Herz and came around to score the game-tying run in the eighth on a Brandon Nimmo single. The long ball was Lindor's 14th of the year, placing him in the top five among shortstops. He's slashing .249/.313/.446 with 56 runs and 15 stolen bases across 341 at-bats. • Teoscar Hernández plates three in Dodgers victory
Teoscar Hernández went 3-for-5 with a double and three RBI on Tuesday night, propelling the Dodgers to a walk-off 6-5 victory over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Hernández got the party started in the first inning with a two-out RBI double off of Ryne Nelson. He also drove in the game’s second run with a fielder’s choice in the third inning. The best was yet to come though, as he dropped a two-out RBI single into left field off of Paul Sewald in the ninth inning, delivering a come-from-behind walk-off victory and sending the Dodgers’ home faithful into a frenzy. With the three-hit night, the 31-year-old outfielder is now hitting .254/.316/.480 with 18 long balls, 58 RBI and four stolen bases. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:21 pm

  • Christian Yelich collects three hits in victory
Christian Yelich went 3-for-5 with a double as the Brewers eked out a one-run victory over the Rockies on Tuesday night at Coors Field.

Advice: Yelich smacked a one-out double off of Ryan Feltner in the third inning, but the Brewers couldn’t cash him in. He then singled in the fifth inning but was picked off of first base. • Lindor has two hits, HR in win over Nationals
Francisco Lindor went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in a 7-2 win over the Nationals in 10 innings on Tuesday.

Advice: Lindor hit three balls over 100 mph on Tuesday, including a 101.9 mph double and a 100.5 mph home run that traveled 403 feet for his 14th big fly of the season. The veteran may have started the year slowly, but he’s hitting .315 over his last six weeks with six home runs, 26 runs scored, and nine steals in 35 games. That will certainly do. • J.D. Martinez scratched Tuesday with ankle soreness
J.D. Martinez was scratched from Tuesday’s lineup due to left ankle soreness.

Advice: It sounds like a precautionary move here by the Mets as they don’t want to take any chances with Brandon Nimmo (head) already sitting out due to injury. The 36-year-old veteran slugger will presumably be available to pinch-hit, if needed, during Tuesday’s contest against the Nationals. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:09 pm

  • Scratched with ankle soreness
Martinez was scratched from the Mets' lineup ahead of Tuesday's game versus Washington due to left ankle soreness, Will Sammon of The Athletic reports.

Advice: The severity of Martinez's injury isn't immediately apparent, but it's enough of a nuisance to keep him from playing Tuesday. Luis Torrens will step into the lineup as New York's designated hitter and bat sixth while Martinez rests. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:00 pm

  • Does some hitting Tuesday
Stanton (hamstring) did some hitting Tuesday, Laura Albanese of Newsday reports.

Advice: It would appear to be the first time he's done any hitting since he landed on the 10-day injured list a little over a week ago with a left hamstring strain. Stanton is moving in the right direction but is still expected to miss about four weeks of action. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:32 pm
  • Tyler Kinley gets win in 10th inning
Tyler Kinley received a victory for pitching a scoreless 10th inning Monday against the Brewers.

Advice: Only the truly desperate for saves should be rostering Kinley, but he is the top option in the Colorado pen at the moment. The scoreless outing tonight was his fifth in a row, as he lowered his ERA to 8.02. Rotoworld Monday, 9:19 pm
