    • Luis Arraez collects four hits in Padres debut
Luis Arraez had quite the night at the plate in his Padres debut on Saturday night, going 4-for-6 with a double, two runs scored and an RBI as the Padres walloped the Diamondbacks 13-1.

Advice: Arraez led off the game with a double off of Brandon Pfaadt, then raced around to score the Padres’ first run on an RBI single off the bat of Manny Machado. He singled in the third inning and then added an RBI single in the fourth inning. Arraez also led off the seventh inning with a single and scored on an RBI double by Machado. With the four-hit night, the 27-year-old infielder is now hitting .315/.359/.392 with six RBI on the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:07 pm

    • Luis Arraez leading off in Padres debut Saturday
Luis Arraez will serve as the designated hitter and bat leadoff in his Padres’ debut against the Diamondbacks on Saturday night.

Advice: The sweet-swinging 27-year-old was hitting .299/.347/.372 with zero homers and five RBI through 148 plate appearances with the Marlins. He’ll now serve as the catalyst for a Padres’ offense that could use a boost at the top of the order. Jurickson Profar — who had been serving as the team’s leadoff hitter — will slide down to the fifth spot in the lineup on Saturday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:24 pm

    • Idle against lefty
Naylor isn't in the Guardians' lineup Saturday against the Angels.

Advice: The left-handed Naylor will take a seat as fellow left-hander Reid Detmers starts on the hill for Los Angeles. David Fry will take over at first base and bat fourth. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:28 pm

    • Padres officially acquire Luis Arraez from Marlins
Padres acquired Luis Arraez and cash considerations from the Marlins for OF Dillon Head, OF Jakob Marsee, 1B Nathan Martorella and RHP Woo-Suk Go.

Advice: What was announced Friday is official Saturday. Arraez will head to the Padres after hitting .299 with a 719 OPS over 137 at-bats with the Marlins in 2023, and he’s a career .324/.377/.423 hitter in his time with the Fish and the Twins. He should play everyday and hit near the top of the order, but just keep in mind his strong average doesn’t come with help in other categories. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:36 am

    • Headed to San Diego
The Marlins traded Arraez to the Padres on Friday in exchange for Dillon Head, Woo-suk Go, Nathan Martorella and Jakob Marsee, Craig Mish of the Miami Herald reports.

Advice: It's not immediately clear how Arraez will fit into the Padres' lineup, as San Diego already has a strong infield unit that includes Jake Cronenworth, Xander Bogaerts, Ha-Seong Kim and Manny Machado, but it's possible Arraez fills in as the Friars' primary designated hitter. The 27-year-old is slashing .299/.347/.372 across 148 plate appearances so far this season, and his departure from Miami leaves Vidal Brujan as the favorite to take over as the Marlins' main second baseman. • Padres closing in on deal to acquire Luis Arraez
Jeff Passan of ESPN reports that the Padres are finalizing a deal to acquire second baseman Luis Arraez from the Marlins.

Advice: Passan notes that the Marlins will receive a package of three prospects and a relief pitcher in return for the two-time defending batting champion. The Padres already have a strong combo up the middle with Ha-Seong Kim and Xander Bogaerts, so its likely that the plan is to play Arraez at either first base or third base. Stay tuned, as Passan notes that the deal is in medical review and expected to be finalized soon. Rotoworld Friday, 6:35 pm

    • Swats three-run homer
Naylor went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run and an additional run scored during Tuesday's 10-9 loss to the Astros.

Advice: Naylor launched his seventh home run of the campaign and scored multiple times for the second time this season. Even with Naylor's long ball, he's batting 3-for-22 (.136) over his last six games. However, he's added a pair of stolen bases and has struck out four times to three walks during that stretch. • Records first steal
Naylor went 0-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base in Thursday's 6-4 win over the Red Sox.

Advice: Naylor has gone hitless in his last two games -- it's just the second time this season he's been held without a hit in consecutive contests. He was able to pick up his first steal in three attempts this year with his lone trip on base Thursday. Despite the brief slump, he's still slashing .295/.366/.557 with six home runs, 20 RBI, 13 runs scored and five doubles over 101 plate appearances in a starting role at first base. • Harper has two hits, homers in win over Reds
Bryce Harper went 2-for-3 with a walk and a two-run homer on Thursday in the Phillies’ win over the Reds.

Advice: The home run was a 384-foot shot off Nick Martinez that left the bat at 101.4 mph. Harper also had a 112 mph single on the day and is now slashing .256/.347/.488 on the year with five home runs and 16 RBI. Expect the batting average to keep rising as Harper remains one of the best hitters for fantasy baseball. Rotoworld Thursday, 2:12 pm
