Steer went 3-for-5 with two RBI and a run scored in Monday's 13-3 win over Colorado.

Advice: Steer flipped the calendar on the month of May, during which he had a .176 average and .629 OPS. He's delivered multiple hits in all three games in June, going 8-for-14. It's reminiscent of early in the season, when Steer hit .324/.435/.563 with 18 RBI over his first 20 games, and the Reds were winning more than losing. Rotowire.com Today, 5:15 am

    • Steer has three-hit game in win Monday
Spencer Steer went 3-for-5 with a run scored and two RBI against the Rockies on Monday.

Advice: Steer is up to 37 RBI in 58 games this season. He’s only hitting .243, but his .282 BABIP is a little lower than his career .302 BABIP. He should improve in that area and with 11 steals already he’s on pace to blow by his total of 15 steals from last year. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:57 pm

    • Santander blasts 11th home run Monday
Anthony Santander went 2-for-4 with two runs scored and a two-run home run against the Blue Jays on Monday.

Advice: The home run was Santander’s 11th of the season. His ISO is up to .228, which would be a career-high not including the shortened 2020 season. Santander is hitting just .228, but his .227 BABIP is well below his career .269 BABIP. His strikeout percentage is 18 percent, which is below his career 20 percent strikeout percentage. Santander’s power is still there and he’s just been unlucky with his average so far.

    • Getting rest Monday
Vierling is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Rangers.

Advice: Vierling will get a breather for the series opener, despite being one of the hottest hitters in the Detroit lineup at the moment. While starting each of the last seven games, Vierling recorded at least one hit and produced a .438/.455/.906 slash line overall. The 27-year-old should have a hold on a near-everyday role while he's sizzling at the plate, but his absence from the lineup Monday will open up a spot in the outfield for Akil Baddoo. • On base three times Sunday
Varsho went 2-for-3 with a walk, a double and two runs scored in Sunday's win over the Pirates.

Advice: He was also caught stealing for the first time in six attempts, but overall it was a strong performance from Varsho, who got the start in center field and hit eighth. The 27-year-old has had trouble building momentum at the plate -- he hasn't hit safely in three straight games since early May -- and on the season he's slashing .213/.301/.454 with 10 homers, 30 RBI and 33 runs in 54 contests. • Nursing ankle issue
Red Sox manager Alex Cora said Abreu twisted his right ankle in the dugout during Sunday's loss to the Tigers and is receiving treatment, Mac Cerullo of the Boston Herald reports.

Advice: The 24-year-old went 1-for-4 with a run scored before he suffered the injury and was replaced by a pinch hitter during the ninth inning. Abreu will have Monday's team off day to aid in his recovery before the start of a two-game series versus Atlanta on Tuesday. Rotowire.com Sunday, 2:17 pm

    • Davis Schneider with two more hits
Davis Schneider went 2-for-4 with a double, run scored, and RBI on Sunday against the Pirates.

Advice: Schneider came around to score on Daniel Vogelbach’s go-ahead, two-run double and seems to be in the middle of most Blue Jays rallies at this point. Their lineup has found more life since anointing him their permanent lead-off hitter and it would be shocking to see him out of that role any time soon. Rotoworld Sunday, 2:12 pm

    • Wilyer Abreu getting treatment on his ankle
Red Sox’ manager Alex Cora told reporters after Sunday’s loss to the Tigers that Wilyer Abreu is getting treatment on his ankle.

Advice: The 24-year-old outfielder slipped down the dugout steps late in the game and appeared to roll his ankle. He stayed in the game though, until he was pinch-hit for against left-hander Andrew Chafin in the ninth inning. It doesn’t sound like it’s anything serious, but still something that fantasy managers should take note of heading into next week. Rotoworld Sunday, 1:54 pm

    • Goes deep Saturday
Santander went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, a walk and two total runs scored in Saturday's 9-5 win over the Rays.

Advice: Santander has started to look more like himself, going 9-for-32 (.281) with three homers over his last nine contests. For the year, he's slashing .218/.300/.440 with 10 homers, 30 RBI, 29 runs scored, 11 doubles, one triple and no stolen bases. Santander has been plagued by a .224 BABIP this year, so it's no surprise his overall numbers are down, but it's a reason for optimism that he'll be able to turn things around.
