    • Lugo gets 10th win after six strong vs. Dodgers
      Seth Lugo gave up two runs in six innings to get a win against the Dodgers on Saturday.

      Advice: The victory is already the 10th of the season for Lugo. The right-hander allowed a two-run single to Gavin Lux in the fourth, but outside of that he handled the Dodgers lineup without many issues. He scattered six hits allowed while walking just one and striking out four. Lugo has been excellent in 2024, and it’d be a surprise if he wasn’t an All-Star at this point.     • Trevor Megill snags 12th save
      Trevor Megill closed out a 3-1 win over the Reds for his 12th save of the season.

      Advice: It wasn’t a flawless inning for Megill, who did allow a walk, a hit, and a run; however, he got the job done. He now has a 2.25 ERA on the season and has been a steadying presence for the Brewers at the end of games. Even though he will lose his job as closer when Devin Williams returns, he’ll remain a valuable reliever for the Brewers and needs to simply be held in fantasy leagues because you’re unlikely to get much trying to trade him away when everybody knows his time accruing saves is coming to a close within the month.     • Kenley Jansen locks down four-out save on Saturday
      Kenley Jansen picked up his 11th save of the season on Saturday night, recording the final four outs against the Yankees.

      Advice: Jansen came on to put out a fire in the eighth inning with two men on and two outs with the Red Sox clinging to a two-run advantage. He got Anthony Volpe to fly out to right field to end the threat — then returned to work a perfect ninth inning to close it out. On the season, Jansen now holds a 2.74 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and a 30/11 K/BB ratio (23 innings) to go along with a pair of saves and two victories. Rotoworld Saturday, 7:32 pm
       
    • Secures save Saturday
      Megill notched a save against the Reds on Saturday, allowing one run on one hit and one walk in one inning.

      Advice: A trio of Milwaukee pitchers combined to shut out Cincinnati over eight innings before the ball was handed to Megill for the ninth. The right-hander didn't make things easy, issuing a walk and allowing a run-scoring double before getting his first out, but he was ultimately able to slam the door for the save. Megill has been great in his first venture as a closer this season, going 12-for-13 in save tries while posting a 2.25 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 25:6 K:BB over 20 innings. He appears to have a firm grasp on ninth-inning duties for the Brewers, at least until Devin Williams (back) is able to return from the injured list, potentially in the latter half of July.       Rodriguez (8-2) earned the win against the Phillies on Saturday, allowing two runs on seven hits and one walk with six strikeouts over seven innings.

      Advice: Rodriguez allowed runs on an RBI double by Alec Bohm in the first inning and a solo home run by Edmundo Sosa in the second but rebounded with five scoreless frames to earn his third consecutive win. This was the first time Rodriguez completed seven innings in a start this season, but he has pitched into the sixth in all but two of his 12 starts so far. On the year, Rodriguez now owns a 3.20 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 77:23 K:BB and tentatively lines up to start next week against the Yankees. Rotowire.com Saturday, 5:51 pm
       
    • Grayson Rodriguez goes seven strong in win
      Grayson Rodriguez allowed two runs with six strikeouts over seven innings in a win over the Phillies on Saturday.

      Advice: Rodriguez got two quick outs to start the game, but gave up a single and a double that would bring a run in to score for the Phillies in the first. Edmundo Sosa then led off the second inning with a solo homer. Rodriguez settled in to retire ten consecutive batters until working around a single in a scoreless fifth inning. He got into trouble in the sixth with runners on second and third with two outs. Rodriguez got Sosa to strike out swinging to escape the jam, his sixth strikeout on the day. He’d toss one more scoreless frame to complete seven innings for the win. The 24-year-old right-hander will take a 3.20 ERA, 1.22 WHIP, and a 77/23 K/BB ratio across 70 1/3 innings into a start against the Astros in Houston on Friday. Rotoworld Saturday, 3:36 pm

      Suarez came away with a no-decision in Friday's 5-3 extra-innings win over the Orioles, allowing one run on six hits and two walks over 6.2 innings. He struck out six.

      Advice: The southpaw delivered his ninth quality start of the season on 88 pitches (57 strikes), but Suarez was denied his 11th win in a wild affair that saw half the game's runs cross the plate after the ninth inning. Since his nine-start win streak ended in late May, the 28-year-old has posted a 3.10 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 23:7 K:BB through 20.1 innings over four outings.       Shane Baz struck out eight and allowed one run over six innings on Friday for Triple-A Durham.

      Advice: It’s time. Baz followed up last weekend’s 10-strikeout gem with another dazzling performance, allowing just four hits and one walk over six masterful frames. The 24-year-old top pitching prospect has completed his rehabilitation process from Tommy John surgery and appears poised to return to the majors at some point this month. He averaged 96.5 mph on his four-seam fastball in this one, while generating 14 swinging strikes and finishing with an astronomical 45 percent CSW. His ability to consistently generate whiffs on his fastball/slider combo will drive his fantasy appeal moving forward. Simply put, he should be rostered in all fantasy formats at this juncture.     • Hunter Greene goes five in win over Brewers
      Hunter Greene threw five innings of two-run ball against the Brewers on Friday.

      Advice: Greene sported some of his best velocity of the year tonight, but he walked five and gave up a homer to William Contreras, leading to the early exit. He got the win anyway, moving him to 5-2 with a 3.61 ERA on the season. He really should be even better than this, but he needs to cut back on the walks some. Rotoworld Friday, 10:24 pm
