    • Ezequiel Tovar homers twice against A’s
      Ezequiel Tovar hit a pair of solo homers Tuesday in a losing cause against the A’s.

      Advice: In spite of his willingness to swing at anything and everything, Tovar has managed to hit .279/.313/.468 this season. His second homer today, projected at 443 feet, was the second longest of his career and easily the longest among those to come away from Coors Field.     • Kyle Tucker homers twice to lead Astros
      Kyle Tucker hit his 16th and 17th homers before scoring the winning run in the 10th as the Astros bested the Angels 6-5 on Tuesday.

      Advice: Tucker’s homers couldn’t have been much different. The first was a 340-foot shot to the opposite field that would have a homer in Houston and nowhere else, according to Statcast. The second was a no-doubter that was pulled 407 feet to right. Tucker now leads the majors in homers by one over Gunnar Henderson. His 1.074 OPS puts him behind only Shohei Ohtani.       Swanson (knee) went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored in Tuesday's 4-3, 10-inning win over Atlanta.

      Advice: Swanson was activated from the 10-day injured list Monday night and he made his return to the lineup Tuesday after missing two weeks. The shortstop hit the ground running against his former team, though he's been off to a slow start overall with just a .218 batting average across 38 games.       Salvador Perez went 2-for-5 with one RBI in Tuesday’s win over the Tigers.

      Advice: The real story of the night was Bobby Witt Jr.'s two-homer, six RBI performance, but Perez also managed two hits, with his first coming on a single that scored Witt Jr. Perez now has 39 RBI on the season and has hit safely in seven straight games.       Robert (hip) will begin playing in Arizona Complex League games on Wednesday, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

      Advice: Robert has been on the shelf since April 6 due to a Grade 2 right hip flexor strain, but he now appears to be ready to test his hip in a competitive environment. The plan is for him to remain at the White Sox's complex in Arizona through the weekend before officially beginning an assignment with one of Chicago's minor-league affiliates next week.       Luis Robert Jr. (hip) will play five innings on Wednesday in a Rookie-level Arizona Complex League contest.

      Advice: The plan appears to be for Robert to get a couple games in this week out in Arizona before heading out on an official minor league rehab assignment next week. The 26-year-old fantasy superstar has been on the shelf since early April due to a Grade 2 hip flexor strain that was expected to keep him sidelined for at least 6-8 weeks.       Reds manager David Bell said Tuesday that Lodolo (groin) will throw an extended bullpen session within the next day or two, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
