    • Robert Jr. has double, two walks in loss Monday
      Luis Robert Jr. went 1-for-2 with a double and two walks against the Dodgers on Monday.

      Advice: Robert Jr. only has 91 at-bats this season, but he’s hitting .198 with a 35 percent strikeout percentage. For one of the most talked about potential trade pieces in baseball, he’s really had a rough season. Robert Jr.'s BABIP is only .217, which is well below his career .328 BABIP, but he still needs to cut his strikeouts. Maybe the two walks show that he’s seeing it better at the plate and he can start to turn his season around with a little more than a month before the trade deadline.     • Perez blasts 11th home run in win Monday
      Salvador Perez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run against the Marlins.

      Advice: Perez’ home run was his 11th of the season and second in the month of June. Perez has cooled off this month. He’s 11-for-70 (.157) in June with two home runs and five RBI. Perez has struck out 20 times with only eight walks in June. He was hitting .321 at the end of May, but now sits at .280 with a .814 OPS on the season. Rotoworld Monday, 7:49 pm
       
    • Yandy Díaz sparks Rays to comeback win over M’s
      Yandy Díaz came through with a tie-breaking RBI single in the eighth inning on Monday, propelling the Rays to a 4-3 comeback victory over the Mariners.

      Advice: Díaz capped off Tampa Bay’s late-inning rally by chopping a go-ahead run-scoring single into right field off Seattle closer Andrés Muñoz. The 32-year-old on-base machine has heated up at the dish of late, notching multi-hit performances in five of his last six games since June 19.     • Oneil Cruz homers, drives in three in losing effort
      Oneil Cruz went 2-for-5 with a two-run homer and three RBI on Monday in the Pirates’ lopsided defeat at the hands of the Reds.

      Advice: Cruz was one of the few bright spots for Pittsburgh in this one as he drove in a run with a fifth-inning ground out before slugging a gargantuan 458-foot moonshot — his 11th big fly of the season — a couple frames later off Reds reliever Fernando Cruz. The 25-year-old shortstop has been scuffling at the dish in recent weeks, batting .216 (25-for-116) with four homers and three steals over his last 30 games. He’s also struck out a whopping 40 times during that span. The flashes of dynamic game-changing talent are still there on occasion, but Cruz remains a bit of a work in progress at the moment.     • Stress reaction sends Fernando Tatis Jr. to IL
      Padres placed OF Fernando Tatis Jr. on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to June 22, with a right femoral stress reaction.

      Advice: That’s better than a stress fracture, but it’s not great. The Padres will likely go to Bryce Johnson in right field most days, but he’s not going to replace Tatis’s production. Tatis was hitting .279/.354/.468 with 14 homers in 345 plate appearances. Rotoworld Monday, 3:54 pm
       
    • Lands on IL with quad injury
      The Padres placed Tatis on the 10-day injured list Monday due to a femoral stress reaction in his right quadricep.

      Advice: Tatis missed the last two games with a triceps injury after being hit in the left arm by a pitch Friday, and he will now be sidelined with a separate quadriceps injury. His stint on the IL would line up with a return in early July, but it's possible the 25-year-old will be held out longer than that -- until perhaps after the All-Star break, per Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune.     • Fernando Tatis Jr. to land on IL with quad injury
      Fernando Tatis Jr. is going on the IL with a slight stress reaction in his quad, according to manager Mike Shildt.

      Cruz went 0-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base Sunday against the Rays.

      Advice: Cruz made plenty of highlights Saturday by blasting a home run into the Allegheny River, but he's slumped with only two hits across 19 at-bats during Pittsburgh's current homestand. He did manage to tally his sixth stolen base of the season Sunday, his first since returning from ankle soreness that caused him to miss games on June 14th and 15th.     • Fernando Tatis Jr. was available off bench Sunday
      Padres’ manager Mike Shildt told reporters after Sunday’s loss to the Brewers that Fernando Tatis Jr. (triceps, quad) was available off the bench.

      Advice: The Padres were simply waiting for the right opportunity to present itself on Sunday, unfortunately it never did.
