    • Drops appeal, serving five-game ban
Peralta dropped his appeal of a five-game suspension and will be begin serving the ban Monday.

Advice: Peralta was handed the suspension for intentionally throwing at the Rays' Jose Siri in an 8-2 win over Tampa Bay last Tuesday. The right-hander was ejected from that contest, but after appealing the five-game ban, Peralta took the hill Sunday on normal rest and was dealt the loss in the Brewers' series finale with the Cubs. With Peralta ending his appeal, he won't be able to make his next turn through the rotation that would have fallen Friday versus the Cardinals, though he could make his next start as soon as Saturday. The Brewers are likely to either call up Robert Gasser from Triple-A Nashville to start Friday, or the team will treat Friday's contest as a bullpen day. Rotowire.com 51 minutes ago

    • Three straight multi-hit games
Diaz went 2-for-4 with a double, a walk and two RBI on Sunday against the Mets.

Advice: Diaz is hitting just .235 across his 150 plate appearances of the season, though his results have begun to turn around of late. Sunday marked his third straight start with two hits, and he also has a double, four RBI and a run scored in that span. Diaz has only two barrels in 114 batted ball events to begin the season, though he should continue to see hits fall in at an increased clip as he's maintained a 15.3 percent strikeout rate -- in line with his career norm. • Homers, extends hit streak
Marte went 1-for-4 with a walk, a home run and two RBI in Sunday's 11-4 win over San Diego.

Advice: Marte took Matt Waldron deep with a two-run home run in the first inning, giving the Diamondbacks an early lead. It was the seventh consecutive game with a hit for Marte, who homered for the first time in 16 games. He's belted six home runs and is slashing .307/.361/.526 through 35 contests. • Served first loss
Peralta (3-1) allowed three runs on three hits and six walks over five innings Sunday, striking out five and taking a loss against the Cubs.

Advice: Despite the command issues all afternoon, Peralta kept the Cubs off the board until coughing up three runs in the fifth inning. He took his first loss of the year and has now failed to complete six frames in three straight outings. During that stretch, he's posted a 6.00 ERA with a 17:11 K:BB. Peralta forced 13 whiffs Sunday but threw just 51 of 97 pitches for strikes. His season ERA climbed to 3.49 through 38.2 frames. As of now, it's unclear when Peralta will make his next start, as the decision on his pending suspension still needs to be determined. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:19 pm

    • Handed first loss
Lodolo (3-1) yielded four runs on four hits and two walks over five innings Sunday, striking out six and taking a loss against Baltimore.

Advice: Lodolo got off to a rough start, coughing up three runs in the first inning. He held the Orioles in check afterward until Adley Rutschman knocked an RBI double in the fifth. Lodolo had allowed just five runs over 24 innings to begin his 2024 campaign before Sunday's hiccup. Despite the poor outing, he owns a 2.79 ERA with a 37:8 K:BB through five starts. He's currently in line to take the mound in San Francisco next weekend. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:01 pm
    • Goes yard again
Tucker went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run during Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Mariners.

Advice: Tucker swatted his fourth home run in his last eight games, tagging Bryce Miller for a two-run homer in the sixth frame. The left-handed-hitter is tied with Tyler O'Neill for the fifth-most home runs in baseball. During his last eight outings, Tucker has amassed six RBI and eight runs scored while going 7-for-28 (.250) at the plate. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:21 pm
    • Nick Lodolo struggles in start vs Orioles
Nick Lodolo allowed four runs on four hits in five innings in a loss to the Orioles on Sunday.

Advice: It wasn’t all bad for Lodolo, who struck out six and walked two while posting a 30 percent whiff rate and 31 percent CSW. Lodolo struggled out of the gates, allowing three runs on three hits in the first inning before settling down. The lefty now has a 2.79 ERA and should certainly be started next week against the Giants. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:46 pm
    • Dansby Swanson goes deep in victory over Brewers
Dansby Swanson walloped his fourth home run of the season on Sunday as the Cubs shut out the Brewers at Wrigley Field.

Advice: Swanson crushed a 399-foot (109.3 mph EV) solo shot off of Thyago Viera in the sixth inning, extending the Cubs’ lead to 4-0. That would be his only hit in four at-bats on the afternoon. The 30-year-old infielder has had a rough go at the plate through the first month-plus of the 2024 campaign — slashing .220/.287/.358 to go along with four homers, 12 RBI and four stolen bases. • Freddy Peralta walks six in loss to Cubs on Sunday
Freddy Peralta struggled with his command in Sunday’s loss to the Cubs, issuing six walks over five innings of three-run baseball.

Advice: Peralta also surrendered three hits on the afternoon while punching out five batters. Even with all of the traffic on the basepaths, the 27-year-old right-hander kept the Cubs off the board through the first four innings. That wasn’t the case in the fifth though, where Nico Hoerner smacked a two-run double and then scored on a wild pitch. Peralta generated 13 swinging strikes on 97 pitches in the contest, posting a CSW of 25 percent. Now 3-1 on the season, he’ll look to bounce back as he carries a 3.49 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and a 50/15 K/BB ratio (38 2/3 innings) into Friday’s matchup against the Cardinals. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:41 pm
